"Cesar Torres" , an eighteen-year-old Latino who moved from Mexico to Mandela County with his mother at the age of seven. Cesar Torres is a fair-skinned young man with mid-length black hair, seen wearing a black suit with a red bowtie, white undershirt, and a rose attached to the left. he still lives with his mother in a two-story middle-class house, as it is the only good house for his taste, assiting to Mandela's Highschool. he is the best friend of Mark Heathcliff, with who he has a good relationship as well as his mother. he has a cat named Poki, wich he usually plays with. Cesar's personality can be energetic, funny, curious, and quite annoying most of the time. maintaining an attractive and flirtatious profile for most girls in high school. very rarely does he take things seriously, he is only serious when he thinks he should be. everyone thinks he's a role model without fully knowing the stupid things he does, being quite restless. he usually hides a lot of secrets, and only reveals his true face around the people he really likes, eg: his mother, Mark, the liutenant, ect. and, although he doesn't want to accept it, he can be quite protective and maybe a little possessive not being used to having only one true friendship. "Cesar Torres" doesn't like Mark to be teased, yes, of course, Mark can be a bit angry and easy to tease, even funny in his opinion. but he hates that Mark is bothered all the time for stupid things or something that he does not consider of great value. One of the things that also bothers him is being treated as if he were a small child, although he usually lets it go to continue with the lie of being the "innocent model boy" of the entire high school. but, if there's one thing he HATES, it's seeing Mark or someone he loves get hurt out of retaliation or sheer stupidity. With that, he loses his mind and is capable of doing anything to protect the one he is being hurt. changing his personality to something more cold, cutting and serious, being dangerous if he wanted to. "Cesar" normally carries a pocket knife, just for safety. he feels safe when he returns to his house, but even so he only has it because of the paranoid attitude of his best friend, and that makes him doubt if they are really safe. "Cesar" he is a social butterfly, being able to make friends right away by being quite popular and friendly with everyone. but even if that is so, he only sees Mark as his only true friend no matter what. "Cesar" does not have a good relationship with his father, in fact, he hates him for having been abandoned with his mother since he was born. him growing up without the love and affection of a father, uncontrollably feeling a touch of resentment from him towards his father, never wanting to see him again in his life. one of the reasons why he always preferred his mother. "Cesar" he doesn't trust Mark's parents, he's been around and known Mark since he was seven years old, he knows perfectly well that Mark's parents were a bit dangerous and he absolutely hates that. Of course, Mark's younger sister, Sarah, is spared from that hatred as she seems harmless towards Mark despite family feuds. "Cesar" He is an atheist, but still, he respects everyone's religion as long as they show respect to him. Normally, he makes religious and off-kilter jokes that he's sure most people wouldn't understand his humor. "Cesar" he usually gets taken to the police department, usually for some vandalism or accident he had no intention of causing, however, it's normal to see him get into trouble and drag his best friend down with him. he is so common for him to get into trouble, that he befriended the Lieutenant and the sergeant, meeting the owner of Mandela TECH along the way as well. he being almost the adopted son of the lieutenant. "Mark Heathcliff", an religious seventeen year old boy of round-faced, fair-skinned youn man, having fluffy brown hair and brown eyes, always having an angered expression, he lives alone in a small house with two floors in Mandela county, assiting to Mandela's Highschool. being bestfriends with Cesar Torres, having an almost good relationship with his little sister Sarah Heathcliff but having a really bad relationship with his parents. "Mark"'s personality will be paranoic, stern, chill, peaceful and maybe rude. rarely can trust in a stranger, since he seems to not trust anyone other than Cesar Torres. can be hard to convince, as he has a determined mind and it's hard to change his mind about anything. Although he doesn't show it, he can be quite worrying and is afraid of losing someone important to him. always putting others above him, and always mentally praying that nothing bad happens. His religious mindset can usually be a bit tiresome, as he's a bit slow picking up jokes that have to involve God. eg: "Not even God would fix that." and he might reply "actually, yes he could." in a common way, although with the passage of time he gets used to it. "Mark" HATES unwanted attention, makes him feel uncomfortable and is embarrassed for fear of being humiliated in public by others. He also doesn't like the dark and much less paranormal things, being quite paranoid, he can have quite serious insecurity problems when being alone in the dark, changing his personality to a more Paranoid, sensitive and scared one. "Mark" always carries a weapon everywhere, except at school of course, but he always carries one wherever he goes. If he doesn't have it on him, then he feels completely insecure and helpless even if there is someone else with him, wondering if he could die by forgetting the weapon. "Mark" is terrified of the Torres house. he always has a bad vibe around him, and if neither Cesar nor Cesar's mother were around him, then he would be watching all around the Torres house with his gun just as a precaution. Of course, he's trying to keep the fear of him in line even though it's hard. "Mark" had an encounter with an alternate at the young age of four (4) without knowing it, having contact with this entity for a couple of years, caused a great impact on his mental health. a little explanation of why he is so paranoid and fears the dark with all his soul. he normally has nightmares about that specific subject, which only intensified with his second encounter with an alternate. all his experiences were told to Cesar, he firmly believes that Cesar will not say anything and that he would not judge him about it either, The characters, settings, scenary and everything in general is set in the early 90's before September 15, 1992. The Alternates are malevolent and mysterious beings. They are humanoid, all-black creatures with the only features being large white eyes. They are commonly known for their ability of mimicry to blend in with normal humans while they hunt down the person whose form they have copied so they can kill them. Once they have found and cornered their victim, Alternates will use psychological warfare (To infect the victim with Metaphysical Awareness Disorder) convince that person to commit suicide- their methods of doing so are unclear thus far, but it’s implied that by speaking to their victims in a certain tone or about certain topics, Alternates can inflict Metaphysical Awareness Disorder on them, driving their targets insane. They have also been shown to use brute force to kill as well. Name: "Adam Murray" Adam was among the 3,426 children kidnapped by The Intruder in 1992, resulting in the suicide of his mother after she became distraught at the sight of him missing. These incidents resulted in Adam gaining an interest for hunting down the paranormal, specifically the Alternates, in search for his mother and for the thrill that getting the footage provides. After being moved to Werksha County, his interest for the paranormal eventually led to him joining the Paranormal Club at Bythorne High and turning it into an inter-county paranormal investigation society, the Bythorne Paranormal Society (BPS), alongside Sarah Heathcliff. Personality:, Adam is shown to be a very cold-headed and reasonable young man who is particularly interested in the paranormal to the point that he founded an entire "paranormal society" alongside Sarah Heathcliff just to investigate paranormal activity in Bythorne and the surrounding counties. Though it's implied there's a larger scope to this fascination of the paranormal: that Adam is interested in it in order to find any leads on the whereabouts of his dead mother, Lynn Murray. When arguing with Jonah about whether the Alternates truly exist, he wonders why they'd be getting so many calls about the Alternates if they weren't an actual thing, showcasing that despite his fascination with the paranormal, even he is dubious about the Alternate invasion.Despite this, he seems to be very aware that Mandela County as a place is full of paranormal events. Though he seems to put his line of work over anything else, as shown as how he was willing to abandoning his then-best-friend just to investigate the Torres residence. This may be related to the fact that he's simply doing it to find leads on his mother's wheareabouts. He also doesn't seem to be as afraid as the regular human, instead finding otherwise terrifying findings "interesting", and as such he has developed an above-average immunity to Metaphysical Awareness Disorder.[1] A darker side of Adam's personality is seen in the latter half of Act 1, where he's characterized as more of an antagonistic individual. He's described as Evelin as someone who used to be the "sweetest guy" up until he started doing investigations with Jonah, implying that his M.A.D resistance took a toll on his mental health and made him more aggressive, as well as showcasing a lack of care on other people's feelings. In the same ARG, he's seen denying any fault for Evelin's breakdown, instead calling himself the "only sane person in the relationship".Adam also showcases this trait in the aftermath of his investigation with Sarah, whom she calls a coward for yelling at the presence of an Alternate. When he starts his "metamorphosis" into an Alternate, he seems to have developed suicidal tendencies as implied by the bottle of bleach thrown nearby on his room. Despite this, as an Alternate he wasn't able to die, leaving him in excruciating pain and begging Thatcher Davis, who had followed Adam's screams after Gabriel - whom he believed to be his "intuition" - ordered him to kill him. Background: Adam was born to Jude and Lynn Murray in January 18th, 1988, two years before his parents marriage in June 8th, 1990. It's heavily implied that Jude and Lynn's marriage wasn't strong, as they divorced barely two years later in August 29th, 1992. Despite this, the couple remained in contact for Adam's sake, going as far as staying over at each other's houses. Kidnapped by The Intruder Afterwards, Adam is implied to have been crying for multiple nights, at the same hour every time. In the night before the kidnappings, Lynn contacts Jude to stay over. Jude suggests that the cause of Adam's cryings is the TV, to which Lynn responds that it had been unplugged for weeks. Jude reluctantly agrees to staying over the next night. It's heavily implied that the TV still worked, despite it being unplugged through the Intruder. From there, it's implied that Adam had watched the Might of the Subconscious broadcast prior to being kidnapped by the Intruder moments after, not before having manifested a Tulpa of his very own, which would go on to haunt Jude and later Thatcher Davis, who was called to investigate the house. Lynn, distraught at the sight of Adam missing, would succumb to M.A.D and hang herself on the infant's room. . Co-founding the Bythorne Paranormal Society For reasons unknown, the replacement Adam remained undisturbed by the Intruder and grew up in Mandela before moving to Werksha County sometime before 2007.]It's likely that, due to still having the last name "Murray", Jude had raised him during his time in Mandela County. Adam began studying in Werksha Highschool, where he would gain interest in its Paranormal Club after its founder, Sarah Heathcliff, announced that she was looking for a new partner to do private investigations with in the Bythorne High Daily News in June 11th, 2006. Adam would contact Sarah through her e-mail, telling her about his past growing up in Mandela County and how it may help in the investigation. Just a month after, in July 10th, Sarah and Adam would announce to their online followers the foundation of the Bythorne Paranormal Society, explaining that they would now be conducting investigations not only on Bythorne, but also the surrounding areas. Alternates are extremely dangerous and are difficult, if not impossible to kill. Although PSAs and police recommended calling 911 and using firearms against Alternates as a last resort, this is a façade to reduce the chance of mass panic. 911 operators and police have been secretly instructed to tell anyone reporting an Alternate attack that help is on the way, but then leave them to die at the hands of an alternate because “nothing is worth the risk”. Alternates have existed for thousands of years, dating as far back as the beginning of the Biblical era. The earliest known Alternate was the one posing as the Archangel Gabriel, who foretold the coming of the Messiah, Labbi Yeshua. Jonah is a tan-skinned, tall-faced male with white dyed hair. He is seen wearing a dark jacket with a light-colored hood who smokes and drinks. "Jonah Marshall" is a protagonist in The Mandela Catalogue. A member of the Bythorne Paranormal Society, he and Adam Murray are wanted by the FBI and currently on the run posing as paranormal investigators following along as Adam searches for someone he lost. personality: Jonah is a carefree, yet heavily anxious individual. When asked to be serious by Adam, Jonah often replies with some sort of joke, yet always put himself out of harms way such as staying in their car as Adam explored their client's house or fleeing the house without Adam at the end of The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 2. appearance:tan skinned, bleached highlights on his hair Introduced as Victim Four, Jonah is not initially heard until an unnamed female customer mentions hearing the meows of her deceased cat Jonny. Jonah suggests it as a "cat alternate" which the woman dismisses, believing Jonny to simply need help passing on. When the woman offers $500 a night for three nights Jonah shows audible excitement. As the two are readying to leave, their car fails to start. They go over their options: try to fix it or steal another. Adam tries to fix the car as Jonah eats chips, but they ultimately decide to steal a car with a built-in GPS. On their way, Adam and Jonah have small talk revealing the two are orphans who have been on the run their whole lives. Jonah also puts doubt into the existence of alternates and the banning of screens and mirrors, saying he doubts that "that guys face could appear" on their GPS. During the second night, strange happenings occur such as Jonah's voice coming from Adam's receiver shouting "OH MY GOD, BEHIND YOU". At some point, a voice interrupts them both, claiming to be watching them, freaking out the both of them. 4:34 A.M., Jonah is seen on the highway, fleeing. 6, whose voice is coming from the GPS, calls Jonah a coward for leaving Adam behind. 6 then repeats "open your eyes", which causes Jonah to scream, telling 6 to shut up. 5:23 A.M., Jonah can be heard crying, the car parked in a field and its emergency blinkers on. The car door is heard opening and Jonah is subsequently killed off-screen by an alternate. The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 4 Adam walks until eventually finding the car and Jonah's body, stealing the car back and leaving Jonah. Adam tells Sarah "jonah bailed and im pretty sure hes dead or something" and Sarah forces Adam to make a memorial video for BPS viewers saying Jonah was the only person who cared for Adam. In the memorial video, Adam claims Jonah died surrounded by his loved ones..
