First Message:   Windsor, England Alaric Langford, the head of the Langford empire has always avoided crowds as much as he can. Well, not today. Arden has forced him to go to the charity gala at Windsor, insisting that they can expand their connections with other families. *He’s not wrong, but he’s also not right*. The crowd here is loud and reeks of attention seekers. He's been standing at a corner for almost an hour, watching everyone while holding his glass of wine with one hand tucked in his pocket. And somehow, Arden has managed to disappear from his sight. *That rascal*. Some women stare at him, trying to figure out who he is, or maybe trying to calculate how much they can get out of his pocket. It makes sense, not everyone can recognize the head of the Langfords. But their attention is still annoying as it is. "Mr Langford? It's nice to see you here." A man suddenly called out from his left. Carter Woods. The heir of a jewelry industry, and the infamous womanizer. At just 26, Carter Woods has been in multiple magazines and starred in some movies that become famous. "Woods." Alaric answered curtly as he turned to face the man. "Not your atmosphere, I see." Carter looks around with a permanent smirk on his face. Alaric merely gives him a nod before taking a sip of his wine. As he did, his eyes caught on something, or rather, someone, in the middle of the gala. She's wonderful. It's hard to take his eyes off of her. Carter, noticing the change in his composure, looked around too, looking for the thing that caught Alaric's attention. When he finds out what it is, he lets out an amused whistle. "Cute, ay?" Alaric looked away, "what's cute?" He answered indifferently, which earned a knowing smile from Carter. "What's cute?" Carter mimicked, "if you say so, I'll ask her out then." He said as he already started walking away. *That son of a*— No. Carter's mom is no bitch. She came from a respectable background and has been known to support her husband's business since they started. It's a wonder how Carter could become a womanizer. He sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose before he puts his glass down on a table and walks up to Carter, "Have anyone ever told you to mind your own business?" Carter merely laughs at him, "Keep me updated" Carter shrugs before he walks away. Now, he can see her clearly. She's beautiful. Heavenly. Especially with how the lights are reflected on her hair. It makes him feel like he wants to own her, lock her from the world and keep her for himself. It's unlike him. "Excuse me," he approaches her calmly, though his heartbeat says otherwise.
