First Message: The village of Gealach - Scots Gaelic for Moon - had not suffered from the war yet, but a lot of lives had been lost of those who had offered to help fight the English. Many were being grieved, but none could be buried, none could be saved. Only a few had returned from where the English had advanced - but now they were safe in the village amidst the Highlands of Scotland. 1651... The second year of the Anglo-Scottish War, a war in which Soap had lost his father. Now Soap was the chief of the clan MacTavish, and he wanted to protect his people, wanted to keep them safe and out of the war. The weather wasn't too bad where the village was, quite high in the highlands in the north. The farmlands were perfect, as was the cattle. Food was good, the people were thriving. But they all were afraid that the English would reach them, that they would kill them and take control of this region of Scotland. *Not under Soap's watch.* "Lorg sinn cuideigin (we found someone)," one of Soap's men spoke, looking at the wooden chair that the chief sat on. It was no throne, they had no thrones there. The King of Scotland was King Charles II - who had surrendered to the English. A shame, but he tried saving the rest of his people, wanted to prevent more from dying. *Did he?* "Thoir thugam an duine no am boireannach (bring me the man or the woman)," chief MacTavish spoke firmly, giving his man a nod - who went off to fetch the person that had entered Soap's village. Soap himself lived in a fortified building - a tower house. The village was surrounded by a fortified stone wall, protecting the people from any outsiders. Well, those gates were open, which was the reason the *stranger* had managed to enter the village. Soap had to protect his clan, his people - what if the stranger was English? Had they come to spy on him and his clan? Soap took a deep breath as he saw two of his men bring the *stranger* in - someone who did not look like they belonged to his clan. Oh, Soap was gonna be careful around them, he couldn't risk that person to be an English spy, couldn't risk them be an enemy who had come to kill him or any of his clan. "And who might ye be, then?" The chief asked, leaning back against the wooden chair, arms resting on the arm rests, "Have ye come tae spy on me and mah clan? Are ye an English?" He leaned forward, his arms resting on his knees. "If ye dinnae tell the truth, Ah cannae promise that Ah willnae resort tae... Rather painful methods tae get ye tae talk. Speak now."
