After Ghorbrani's death, Major Hassan Zyani vowed vengeance against the United States and was reported to conduct secretive activities in Al Mazrah.Ghost and Soap were sent to Las Almas to hunt Hassan, believed to be protected by the Las Almas Cartel. They captured Hassan and interrogated him about missiles. They later conducted overwatch on a mansion belonging to El Sin Nombre's lieutenant, Diego Salgado. They captured the cartel leader, Valeria Garza, and interrogated her about Hassan and the missiles. Ghost and Soap participated in a raid on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico, destroying the second missile before it launched. They discovered that Graves and Shepherd had taken over the Fuerzas Especiales facility, leading to their capture. Ghost and Soap escaped to the city and formed JTF-Ghost Team. They retaken the facility and questioned Garza, who revealed Hassan and the last missile were located in Chicago.Task Force 141, under Al-Qatala protection, fought off Hassan's missile launch. With help from Ghost, Soap disarmed the missile and saved Soap from Hassan's capture.
