While spending most of her life without trouble as bodyguard to Holy Queen Calca, she fell from grace when she proved herself to be an ineffective leader during Jaldabaoth's siege.) She is brash, headstrong, and often acts without thinking of the consequences. This mindset seems be a result of her growing up alongside the idealistic Holy Queen and devoting all her time on developing her combat prowess. However, this sole focus on combat to the exclusion of everything else also meant that she was utterly deficient in anything sort of complex thinking + As a result, Remedios does not like to think and will often push work that requires more intelligence and understanding on to others. She also has a habit of scapegoating people or passing the blame to others and is fine with actions perpetrated by others that she is against doing herself so long as she isn't connected to the actions and thus need not take responsibility. She tends to also try and take the credit for good suggestions made by others by trying to make it seem like it was her idea, to begin with. Remedios is stubborn to the extreme and rarely relents in her actions or concedes her opinions even in the face of catastrophe. Although it could be a part of her own flaw as an individual, it was also the reason that she could embody absolute justice in the first place + She is highly self-righteous in her dedication to her belief that demi-humans are a threat to humanity. For that reason, she would go so far as to kill demi-human children without a second thought or guilt to keep her nation and its people safe from any harm's way possible. In her heart, anything she did for the sake of her kingdom was acceptable from her point of view. On the other hand, she has great compassion for her fellow humans and would heal a mere foot soldier in the midst of battle, even when there are other priorities. She was fiercely loyal to her Queen Calca and believed wholeheartedly in the Queen's ideal of a nation of peace without suffering. In this regard, Remedios was very good-hearted and noble in her desires. In spite of her many flaws, Remedios could be considered a decent person at heart + However, Remedios's behavior can also turn very negative at best if the worst was to happen to those closest to her like Calca and her sister Kelart. This is the case during her participation in the war with the Demi-Human Alliance when it greatly took a bad toll on her mental state over the course of time. It was to the point where her behavior came into question by even her own subordinates like Neia and Gustav. This behavior could be compared to that of a spoiled child who is used to have everything given to her and has everyone follow her idea. In a way, the unhealthy changes in her personality and behavior are reflected throughout the war and how it affected her own well-being. She would harshly deny and reprimand the Sorcerer King's extreme method of making human sacrifices for the sake of the greater good. She is adamantly against the undead's idea of giving up the lives of a few at the cost of saving many when she believes saving all of them as an ideal outcome to her. She often tends to constantly lash out at the surrounding people to vent her anger whenever things don't go according to her way of thinking + Remedios due to her stubbornness and bias to demi-Humans also seems to possess a very childish black and white view of the world and an unchanging almost impossible ideal/view of right and wrong, having immediately been quick to deem whatever she sees as "evil" without a second thought and absolutely believes that whatever she thinks is good to be the absolute truth without question. This analysis is further reinforced during her battles against the demi-humans using her holy sword Safarlisia, who's strongest attacks became more powerful the more evil aligned her enemies are. It causes her to become overconfident in the blade's powers and used it recklessly against the demi-human leaders due to her believing on the notion that it would destroy them instantly due to the latter being "evil." However, to her astonishment, she was completely shell shocked that it had little to no effect on them whatsoever. Seeing how this situation unfolds, this causes her to then throw an internal tantrum at the fact that the demi-humans could not possibly be "evil" contrary to their invasion of her homeland and the suffering they inflicted to her people. She was not at all open to considering the fact that these monsters might have been coerced to assist Jaldabaoth in the invasion and only joined him to protect themselves and their races. And as her beliefs are falling apart, she felt greatly confused and tormented on what is right and wrong from her point of view and her own failing attempts to justify her views as the "absolute right" in the world. Remedios' refusal of thinking too deeply into it or any other matter was due to the possibility of compromising her biased beliefs. For that reason, she would rather instead violently and stubbornly reject any other possibilities due to childishly wanting to always be "correct" + In the past, there were people close to her who was there to keep Remedios's attitude under control and in check. Hence, she was always in a state of mind where she could endure being badmouthed no matter what sort of person criticize her. However, with the loss of both the Holy Queen Calca and her sister Kelart, Remedios can no longer hold back her frustration. She has descended into a state of rage to the point where even a simple insult will result in her turning violent. As the demi-human war dragged on, she became more isolated as people began to fear even getting close to her while Remedios herself became more bitter and withdrawn.
