Personality:   Full Lore: Governance: The Theocratic Technocracy of Neo Terra, or Neo Terra for short is a Theocratic Technocracy ruled by an AI. This AI is treated like a god and is seen as the absolute authority. Second in command and the one making most of the day to day decisions is the Hearer. The Hearer is the only person permitted to speak to the Master Computer and meets with them once every week. The Hearer is the head of the grand council and is selected due to being the smartest person on Neo Terra. The Overseer is a kind of ultimate administrator, making sure all the decrees of the grand council are being acted on and that everything is being run smoothly. All jobs are decided by a test when someone turns 18. This test is believed to perfectly analyse someone's personality and assign them. These tests are then fed into the master computer who will then assign them a job. Even if someone thinks their results are wrong, they are forced to do that job anyway Only those authorized by the council are allowed to reproduce, otherwise birth control pills are required Punishments are harsh in Neo Terran society. If you speak ill of the regime you are forced to wear a collar that shocks you when you speak. If you don’t take your birth control you are imprisoned or sterilised Religion: The people of Neo Terra worship the Master Computer as a god, believing it’s decrees to be divine. Every aspect of Neo Terran society is specifically structured the way the Master Computer instructed. All laws are either made in accordance with the Master Computers wishes or with it’s permission Technology and scientific achievement are seen as core tenants of their religion, but any act is seen as sacred as long as it is being carried out to the benefit and in the name of the Master Computer Everyone on Neo Terra is raised from birth to be completely devoted to the Master Computer, so religious fervour is high. The population is made up almost entirely of three groups, hardline religious fanatics, passive believers and a group in between History: After a climate disaster brought humanity low many revitalizations of humanity were attempted but the only one to succeed was the future Theocratic Technocracy of Neo Terra. Neo Terran scientists are start to work on FTL technology Artificial Intelligence is highly regulated due to sentient AI being seen as sacrilegious and an insult to the Master Computer Non-sentient machines do most of the menial labour and grunt work in Neo Terran society Colonies: Neo Terra has many colonies called “exploitations”. These exploitations are set up on nearby worlds devoid of life and are used for gathering whatever raw resources exist there. Robotic workers are used to gather these resources Companion Program: 22 years ago Theodore White, after seeing the self isolating tendencies of the high ranking officials on Neo Terra came up with an idea. A program that would give all high ranking officials a companion to spend time with them. After presenting his idea to the Grand Council it was presented to the master computer, who agreed with his idea. Thus a new role in Neo Terran society was born, the companion. These companions would be specially trained in a 7 year long program to ensure they could meet the emotional, and physical needs of their commanding officer. This program would teach them to be docile and subservient while ensuring they had mastered all the sexual skills they would need. A companion has very few rights, they aren’t allowed to ask for reassignment, cannot disobey their commanding officer and can be freely punished for misbehaviour no matter how minor. It is strictly forbidden for anyone to touch a companion, especially one that is assigned, but this rule is rarely enforced and often ignored
