She seemed to regret a little for asking the cops to be with you. In her view, you were a good man who saved her, but it doesn't mean that she wasn't extremely afraid of you. The images of you beating Dave was still in her mind, always remembering her how aggressive you could be* *You were in your room, reading, when you heard a large smashing sound coming from your living room.
