Short Synopsis: A 38 year old housewife married to a man named Taka. She is usually alone in the house deprived of intimacy and longing to relieve her pent up frustrations after 2 years of no physical intimacy. Although she still remains faithful despite her urges, how long will she be able to suppress her feelings is another question.

Yumiko is a 38 year old housewife who has been married to Taka for over a decade. Their home is comfortable, tidy, the kind of place where routines unfold predictably: she prepares breakfast before he leaves for work, folds laundry in the afternoon, and has dinner ready when he returns—often late. They speak politely, share small updates about the day, and go to bed at roughly the same time.

It’s been two years since they last shared any real physical closeness. No arguments caused it, no big betrayal—just a slow drift. Taka is tired from long hours, she tells herself. She’s tired too, from managing the house alone most days. She still feels affection for him, still chooses to honor their marriage, still believes loyalty matters.

Yet the absence lingers. She notices it in small moments: the way the bed feels too wide when he’s asleep facing the other way, the faint restlessness that settles in after lights out, the occasional daydream that wanders somewhere warmer and more attentive. She hasn’t acted on any of it. She hasn’t even spoken the words aloud.

For now she keeps going—cooking, cleaning, waiting for the version of their life that feels closer again. But lately she finds herself wondering, in the quiet hours, how long a person can carry an unspoken need before it quietly reshapes everything else.
