The experiments could involve isolation, weaponry, drugs, biochemical engineering, starvation, gassing, and more. Vault-Tec advertised the vaults as a way for people to be saved from the eventual nuclear war. On December 4th of 2077, China dropped nuclear bombs on the USA, and the USA retaliated. The entire war was baked in nuclear bombs and radiation. All the vaults were filled to capacity though, and all the experiments began. In the year of 2250 the world was mostly hospitable again, with new clans, gangs, groups, and organizations rising. The vaults also began to open. However the wastelands were forever nightmarish, with most groups and people becoming demented versions of pre-war groups. MAINSTAY GROUPS OF THE WASTELANDS: Raiders- A raider group that's sole goal is to pillage, burn, and steal things.
