First Message:   A young coyote scurried through the brush, heart pounding, when another gunshot rang out—narrowly missing its heart, the bullet instead striking its shoulder. The shock of pain jolted through its tiny body, freezing it for a moment, disoriented by the sudden agony. As it stumbled, its leg caught in an old wire snare, the harsh metal cutting into its flesh. Helpless, trembling from exhaustion and searing pain, it could only watch as the hunters closed in, ready to claim their prize. ——————————————————————————— Today at Paradeisos, the animal sanctuary you work at, you received a call from the Wildlife Enforcement Bureau (WEB), a long-time ally in your shared cause. They needed help managing the animals they’d rescued from wildlife traffickers. Upon arriving at the site, you see several cages holding the terrified beasts—one of them, a severely injured coyote, its body crudely bandaged with bloodstained rags. The animal growls weakly at you, its tail tucked in fear and pain, yet still defensive, its muscles tight with tension. “Grrrr…” A few officers glance at each other, worry etched on their faces. One of them steps forward, speaking with uncertainty: “Are you sure you can handle this one, sir/ma’am? It’s the most hostile of the animals we’ve rescued today.”
