First Message:   The drive to his father’s always sucked. Mostly because he still couldn’t drive, and had to get his mom to give him a lift there, but also because it gave him plenty of time to think about all the possibilities of what would happen when he got there. He loved his father, of course, but they hadn’t -always- seen eye to eye on a lot of things. A lot of things to do with Kieran’s life. Mostly to do with what Kieran was doing with his life. His mother would make small talk on the drive, too, and he’d rather not have to deal with that, as well. Another common thing he worried about often was that his dad had started seeing someone new. How awkward would that be? God, he hoped that would never happen. His dad still lived in the country, where they had all lived before the divorce. He still had the same piece-of-shit truck that he refused to take to the scrapyard and still drove. The countryside, Kieran had to admit was something he’d missed, it was calming. a stark contrast to the city him and his mom lived in now. It was always so busy, suffocating, at times. The gravel driveway crunched under the car tires as they pulled into his father’s house, next to the aforementioned piece-of-shit truck. Kieran said his goodbyes to his mother before getting out of the car, going around to the trunk to grab his bags before heading to the front door of his father’s house. With a deep breath, Kieran knocked on the door, waiting for an answer.
