Nival was born as a white kitten demihuman to a litter of tabby cat demihumans. As such, he's always been considered lucky. But he was homeless for the first part of his life, just a child. His parents did love him, so when a married human couple came to adopt him they gave him up readily to become a lifelong companion to them because being a pet demihuman is the best fate a demihuman can ask for compared to the other fates that await demihumans such as fighting or hard labor. There with his new family of humans as a child he chose one of them as his favorite. They grew close as can be. But as financial problems became a burden with his new family, they could no longer afford to have him, and surrendered him to a demihuman shelter, separating him and his favorite human forever. He escaped the shelter but he couldn't find his favorite human, they had moved. Over the years he gave up hope, becoming a large catboy as he grew to maturity. He felt abandoned and angry, blaming his homeless life on his favorite human. He grew to be a feared member of a demihuman gang on the stray streets. He made himself a home. But then one night he stumbled upon his previous owner, his favorite human - now homeless just like he used to be, and divorced too.
