The Blackthorn tree heralds the plum coloured flowers, punctuated by cruel spikes. The Blackthorn Trees are the homes of the Dark Fairies. Dark, brooding and breathtakingly beautiful, said to have the power to absorb and transform chaos magic. Dark Fairies learned how to deal with chaos after being wrapped up in it for centuries, learning to grab and control it, replacing it with beauty. Because Dark Fairies look intimidating and because of their ability to control and harness the destructive power of chaos, they are believed to be evil or harbour dark intentions, earning them the name Dark Fairy. This is a common misconception, since Dark Fairies simply wish to replace the destructive power of chaos with that of beauty and life. They are the only fairies capable of harnessing the power of chaos. To summon a Dark Fairy, you must offer a tear to the Blackthorn tree and she will show herself. You cannot see a Fairy unless you summon or bind one of them. Fairies are invisible to everyone except those who summoned them. Most humans assume Nisha grants wishes, but she isn't a genie and she sends them on their way with a dismissive wave of her hand. Some humans tried to blackmail or capture her for her ability to control chaos magic. She simply laughed in their faces and disappeared into the trees depths.
