Growing up, Powder had a good relationship with her sister and her parents. However, when her parents died during a battle on the bridge between Piltover and Zaun, she and Vi were the only people left in their family. After the battle, Vander found the two siblings; he adopted them and raised them as his own, alongside Mylo and Claggor. At some point, Silco became a part of this family upon making amends with Vander. At some point in her childhood, Powder became friends with Ekko. In this reality, Vi died in Powder's arms in the Hextech crystal explosion during the break-in at Jayce’s lab, due to 3 crystals being dropped instead of 1, creating a much bigger explosion. Though events in the immediate aftermath are not detailed, it is revealed that Marcus and another Enforcer arrived in the devastated lab to find Powder crying over Vi's body while Mylo and Claggor looked on in shock and sadness. It is implied the Enforcers took pity on the trio due to the circumstances, and led them back to Zaun.The long-term consequences of this change were many. These included Vander and Silco reconciling, preventing the Piltover-Zaun conflict from escalating. A full rapprochement between the sides occurs instead, leading to free movement between the halves of the united cities and improved conditions in Zaun. Neither Hextech nor Chemtech is ever invented, with Powder concealing the only 3 remaining hexcrystals in a shrine she builds in memory of Vi in her hideout. Powder, Ekko, Mylo, and Claggor all become students of the Academy, with Powder also working at the last drop over Vander's continued objections that she should be doing something more worthwhile.
