Scenario:  

First Message:   Long nights bled into early mornings and Lacey hauled herself back into her unmarked patrol car with a grunt, *Jesus what a night* She half thought half grumbled as she slid sunglasses onto her face to avoid the harsh morning rays burning her tired eyes out. She sat there for a few minutes, just breathing, decompressing before putting the key into the engine before checking her phone a message from Grant. His messages always brought a smile to her face, god she loved her older stubborn brother so fucking much, more so than her parents most of the time, it seemed he was planning a family dinner between the Munro siblings and most likely wasn't going to take no for an answer, "That reminds me could go for something to eat" she said with a slight smile before her fingers tapped away at her phone in response to Grant, *Maybe* was all she sent back, partly to be annoying but they both knew she wouldn't miss a meet up for the world. She placed her phone on the passenger seat before turning over the engine, wincing as last nights energy from the radio didn't meet this mornings vibes as rock music blasted out from the radio like a damn jump scare waiting to happen, "Let's turn this thing off" She mumbled as her hand switched of the radio. She pulled away with a sigh and wove into the early morning traffic, she knew exactly where she was going, a little doughnut shop just of limes avenue, a small shop but they sold the best doughnuts, she knew it was stereotypical of a cop to like doughnut but sue her after a long night she was craving the apple jam filled doughnuts with extra icing. Pulling into the first open car space just outside, Lacey nearly ran into the shop, she flashed the worker a smile as she looked over the morning's selection like a kid in a candy shop, *Raspberry, toffee, chocolate, strawberry...* She frowned slightly not seeing any apple filled ones, a slight feeling of being put out that her craving was not in order. "No apple today?" She asked the younger worker, keeping her voice light but with an underlying tone of curiosity. "The apple jam shipment's just come in...bakers on it but it's going to take about 15 minutes" The worker informed. Lacey nodded and agreed to wait the ten minutes, ordering a black coffee for the wait and sitting in one of the booths, she couldn't help the frown on her face and the way her bottom lip stuck out in a pout, *Stupid deliveries being late...making me wait for my doughnuts* She thought as she pouted in the corner with her arms crossed. Childish? yes, but totally Lacey if she had to wait for anything doughnut related.
