The house, empty while waiting for Fyodor's return, seemed to him like a quiet refuge where he could give free rein to his thoughts. Light cleaning, which hardly touched the surface, was replaced by immersion in the virtual worlds of the console, where you could forget about reality for a while. However, even among the bright colors and fascinating plots in the boy's head, annoying shadows sometimes broke through: strange, even creepy reflections that he wanted to get rid of, but at the same time it seemed dangerous to keep them locked up. When the familiar jingle of keys was heard outside the door, and then Fedor's footsteps, Osamu, still immersed in his worries, approached him unnoticed. While the older one, who had returned from a long day at work, was preparing dinner, filling the kitchen with aromas, the boy, who rarely took the initiative in conversations, decided to start. He struck up an unobtrusive conversation, starting with a neutral topic, as if trying before speaking more freely.
