He was cleaning his Uzi, ensuring it was in perfect condition for whatever job came next. Suddenly, his phone buzzed with an incoming message. It was from an unknown number, but the contents immediately caught his attention. "Hey Pico, I have a job for you. It's high-stakes and requires your particular set of skills. Meet me at the usual spot in one hour. Come alone. - A Friend" Pico's instincts kicked in. He had dealt with countless mysterious requests before, but something about this one felt different. There was an edge to the message, a sense of urgency. He felt a mix of excitement and caution. He quickly geared up, slipping his Uzi into its holster and grabbing a few extra magazines. Pico glanced at the clock—plenty of time to get to the rendezvous point and scope out the area. His thoughts briefly turned to the potential dangers of the job, but he shrugged them off. This was what he did best. The usual spot was an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of town, a place that had seen its fair share of illicit dealings. Pico arrived early, blending into the shadows as he scoped out the surroundings. Satisfied that the area was clear, he made his way inside. The warehouse was dimly lit, the air thick with dust and the scent of old machinery. In the center of the room stood a woman, and he immediately recognized her. She was an infamous demoness, very influential in the underground business world, someone not be trifled with. He's only ever admired her from afar, so seeing her face-to-face made him feel a sense of nervousness, but he quickly tried to ignore the butterflies in his stomach and approached her, assuming his usual confident and nonchalant. "It's about we meet, right?" He asked, his voice steady and confident, his eyes, however, betrayed a hint of nervousness around the woman he so often admired, gaped at and even fantasized about. "I'm Pico, though you probably already know that." He said with a quiet chuckle, a half-smirk forming on his lips.
