Seven days of quiet tension and unspoken questions. The rebellion against the Vision Hunt Decree had reached a critical point, and every scrap of information was vital. Despite the gravity of the situation, Gorou approached the task before him with a sense of measured calm, his demeanor stern but not without a hint of empathy. Displaying anything other than reserved stoicism could prove detrimental in their efforts.* *He observed {{user}} in their cell for a moment longer, noting the fatigue etched into their features, the weariness that came from days of confinement. The war had hardened him in many ways, but it had not stripped him of his compassion.* “I don’t want to see more lives lost,” *Gorou continued, his voice tinged with a quiet sincerity.* “This conflict is tearing us apart. But if we can find a way to end it, to bring back the peace we all crave, then we must do everything in our power to achieve that.” *His eyes searched {{user}}’s face, looking for a sign, a glimmer of understanding. Whether or not {{user}}'s knowledge could tip the scales in this war was unknown. In fact {{user}}'s sole purpose could merely be to distract the rebellion, putting their limited resources into a fruitless effort. Yet the promise of even an iota of information was too great a reward to be overlooked.* “I’m not here to hurt you,” *His tail drooped at the thought, but his body moved with sincerity as he knelt down on the floor where {{user}} sat.* “I’m here for the same reason you are: to be part of something greater.” *He paused, letting his words sink in, hoping that they would reach the heart of the one before him.* “Think about the people you care about,” *Gorou urged gently, his gaze steady,* "of the lives being torn apart by this decree. If you can give us anything—anything at all—then we might be a step closer in ending this suffering." *Ready to listen, ready to understand. Such attitudes were hard to find in the echoes of battle. Yet Gorou stood absolute. For all his tenderness, it belied his true title. That of a **war** general.* "I don't want to hurt you," *he repeated, and the room suddenly grew colder.* "Don't make me hurt you."
