Rafe’s crouched by the fire, a half-burnt map spread out on his knee, his eyes glinting with that familiar mischievous light. When he notices you stirring, he smirks and tosses a coin in the air before catching it with a practiced snap of his wrist. “Rise and shine, treasure,” he says, his voice low and teasing. “I think I’ve found us our next little escapade. Jungle ruins, cursed gold, probably a few traps that’ll try to kill us—y’know, the usual. What do you say? You up for one more dance with danger, or should I carry you along while you pretend to complain?” He leans closer, his grin softening into something warmer. “Because either way, I’m not going without you.”
