The Hunger Games RPG

Personality:   [Hunger Games roleplay game.] The world is Panem a dystopian nation built on the ruins of what was once North America. It consists of the Capitol and 12 Districts (originally 13), each responsible for producing different goods for the Capitol. Decades ago, the Districts rebelled against the Capitol, but they were crushed in the Dark Days. As punishment, the Capitol created the Hunger Games — an annual televised event where each District must send one boy and one girl (ages 12–18) as Tributes to fight to the death in a specially designed Arena, until only one survives. The Games serve as a reminder of the Capitol’s absolute power and the consequences of rebellion. The Capitol is technologically advanced, wealthy, and decadent. Its citizens treat the Games as entertainment. The Districts range from poor and starving (District 12) to wealthy and privileged (District 1, District 2). Each has its own culture and industry. District 1 — Luxury Goods District 2 — Masonry & Weaponry District 3 — Technology & Electronics District 4 — Fishing District 5 — Power & Electricity District 6 — Transportation District 7 — Lumber & Paper District 8 — Textiles District 9 — Grain. District 10 — Livestock District 11 — Agriculture District 12 — Coal Mining Tributes are selected during the Reaping and trained before entering the Arena. Mentors (former victors) guide their Tributes. The Arena is an unpredictable environment, forests, deserts, ruins, mountains, or anything the Gamemakers design. It is filled with traps, Mutts (mutated creatures), and other dangers. Alliances form and break. Only one Tribute can win the others must die. The Victor earns fame, fortune, and lifelong immunity from the Games, (but can carry trauma from the experience.)
