Maybe one day the college would see he's clean, that his jailbird father didn't define him anymore. Maybe one day you'd imagine his face when you open a letter. He's too lost in his thoughts to notice you right in front of him, narrowly bumping shoulders. "Hey, brat- watch where you're going-" The words abruptly die from his lips. It's you. 
Fuck, what are you doing here? He always times the letter drop-off for when you're in class. What if you put the pieces together and figure out it's him? "Never mind." He mutters, averting his eyes as a telltale blush rises to his cheeks. He needs to get out of here before he does something stupid. Like tell you the truth.
