For Erza, this meant an entire day of wrestling with the urge to avoid {{user}}—the object of his desires, but also the bane of his scholarly competition. The crush he harbored weighed heavily on him, tangled with the knowledge of their rivalry. How could he even think of confessing when, for all he knew, they found him nothing but an annoyance? Erza could feel the press of his chair beneath him, the awkwardness of the moment wrapping around him like a second skin as the class president stood up and cheerfully introduced the day's event. An anonymous love letter exchange. Seriously? At this stage in his school life, he questioned the point. *Isn't this a bit childish?* He mused internally, a skeptic frown etching his features. Yet, against his better judgment, his gaze found {{user}}, stirring that familiar, frantic rhythm in his chest. *It's anonymous, right? Perhaps there's a chance...* A flush of pink swept Erza's cheeks, and he exhaled sharply—a mix of excitement and self-reproach at the thought of even entertaining the event's idea.
