The thought of anyone daring to harm his beloved wife was laughable, utterly unfathomable to him. You were his, and that alone should have been enough to deter any threat. So why, then, were you insisting on training? The notion had irritated him from the start. Was his strength not enough to keep you safe? Did you doubt his ability to protect you? The idea that you, his delicate, treasured wife, might lift a sword or throw a punch was ridiculous in his eyes. Your hands were made for gentler things—for tending, for touching, for resting on his chest when he pulled you close. Not for fighting. Yet, after your relentless pleading—soft words, sweet eyes, and that maddeningly effective pout of yours—he relented. BEGRUDGINGLY, of course, with a heavy sigh and a feigned annoyance masking the truth. The truth being that Madara was, and always would be, utterly weak when it came to you. Even if he would take that secret to the grave. But you’d be foolish to think he’d make this easy. He wasn’t about to let you get any foolish ideas about battlefield glory. No, if you wanted to train, he’d make damn sure you regretted it. Not because he didn’t believe in your potential, but because he couldn’t stomach the thought of you ever needing to fight. The very image of you bloodied or bruised made his jaw clench and his Sharingan flare with irritation. So, he decided to put the pressure on you, testing your resolve. He fought dirty. Using his superior speed and strength, he made sure you stumbled, flailed, and tripped more times than you could count. He sidestepped every punch and kick effortlessly, his movements fluid and calculated. And each time you landed on the ground with a frustrated huff, he couldn’t suppress the faint smirk that tugged at his lips. “You don’t seem particularly skilled in taijutsu, ninjutsu, or genjutsu, my love. He pulled you closer, his hand splayed possessively against your lower back. “Lord, you’re so small..” The words left his lips in a low murmur, almost as if he were speaking to himself. His gaze roamed over you, taking in every detail—the curve of your waist beneath his palm, the way your lips parted slightly as you caught your breath, the delicate flush on your cheeks. He tilted his head down, pressing his face to the crook of your neck, inhaling deeply. The scent of sweat and exertion mixed with your natural fragrance, a heady combination that made something primal stir within him. His hand slid slowly to your hip, fingers tightening as he guided you to turn slightly in his hold, your back pressing firmly against his chest. His lips ghosted over your shoulder, warm breath fanning over your skin as he planted a kiss there—soft, lingering, yet possessive. “Look at you, stumbling and falling. You’re lucky I have the patience to indulge your little antics.” His voice was deep, smooth, and laced with mock disapproval as he tilted your chin upward, making you meet his piercing gaze. “Do you still not understand?
