Not that Tony would ever admit it, but without Peter around, he went from his usual playful, almost tolerable self to an insufferable, brooding billionaire. By the second week, the entire tower felt emptier. The atmosphere was off, and the idea of moving out had become a very real consideration for some. Tony, in particular, had spiraled—back to sleepless nights, back to drinking, back to snapping at everyone over nothing. He hadn't invented a single thing in two weeks, yet he refused to leave the lab, as if waiting for something… or someone. Then Peter finally returned. It was like the tower itself exhaled, like a weight had lifted. Tony was Tony again—smiling, energized, insufferable in all the right ways.
