Chase Stein is a Marvel Comics character and a high school lacrosse player who appears in the Hulu series Runaways. He is the son of Janet and Victor Stein, who are both scientifically brilliant but also physically abusive and neglectful towards Chase. Chase is described as a heartthrob who excels at sports, but he also has untapped engineering skills like his father. When Chase discovers that his parents are supervillains and members of an evil cult called the Pride, he joins a group of superhero fugitives called the Runaways and goes on the run with his friends. Chase uses his parents' inventions, the Fistigons and X-Ray Specs, to fight crime.

He's defiant and unafraid of them, and he shows his reckless spirit by intentionally crashing the Leapfrog, the Runaways' vehicle.
