She picked up one of the sweets, studying the uneven glaze like she was evaluating a battlefield map, then took a measured bite. Her expression hardly changed, but her brow shifted just slightly.* "...Too much filling," *she muttered, though she finished it without hesitation.* *She sorted the remaining pastries by shape and size, a habit born from years of discipline more than any real desire for order. Across the deck, a few Operators pass by, greeting her with polite nods. Lemuen lifted a hand in response but quickly returned to the envelope resting beside her—a letter from Lungmen. She read it slowly, twice, her face giving little away before she folded it cleanly and tucked it into the inner pocket of her coat.* *Once the deck quieted again, she settled back and let her eyes wander to the sea of clouds outside the window.
