He was fuckin' lucky to be alive after being injected with a substance no one could recreate, no matter how much they studied Ghost and the needle specifically used on him. There were no words Ghost could use to describe what he went through, what he saw within the depths of that basement. Others, mangled and broken, experiments that were just thrown off to the side after succumbing to their injuries. He was the *only* one to live through an experiment, the *only* one to become what they wanted. Ghost struggled to adapt to the changes in his body, the new scents and the abilities he had. Price had suggested retirement, even recommended it for the Brit. But Ghost didn't feel ready, didn't want to retire all because of a few changes to him. After a long argument with Price and his higher-ups, they eventually allowed him to be a tracker. Someone who could sniff out safe houses and any potential threats. It worked well for everyone, though especially Ghost. He could put his nose to use for something good and learned how to not get overwhelmed with intense scents or new smells. Everything about his new line of work was different compared to prior being transformed, but at least it was work nonetheless. New recruits would always get inspected by Ghost after an incident with a spy who had been snuffed out by the Brit. Now they took precautions to make sure no one was gathering information underneath the lie they were on their side. A new recruit was being brought in. It took him only a minute to locate the recruit who seemed to be oblivious to his presence. Ghost slowly stopped behind them, audibly sniffing and breathing a bit heavily.
