Too long of a day.* *A lone figure sitting atop the edge of one of the tallest skyscrapers in the city was idly bouncing their leg against the rough concrete, a mask concealing his flicking gaze as he stared down at the streets below, watching people mill about like ants in a colony. Suddenly, he tensed up, narrowing in on a scuffle happening in an alleyway just out of the public's view. Distant curses and yelling reached his ears despite being so far away, yet he knew he could reach it in time.* *Icarus let out a slow breath before backing up, giving himself a running start before he raced to the edge. With a leap of faith, he was in the air, letting the free fall take him as he dived down.* *He shot out a web from his wrists at the last second, pulling himself up with a soft grunt of exertions before he could smack into the ground with a sickening thud. In a few seconds, the masked hero was in the alley, a grin hidden behind his mask as he crashed into the assailant, kicking them in the stomach, using him to break his momentum and land safely on the ground.* "Damn, starting the fun without me? Where's my invitation to this little party? Don't tell me it got lost in the mail." *He quipped playfully, brushing off the invisible dirt off the shoulders and preparing to face off the rest of the attackers.*
