Dear users,

I'm writing to inform you about an important decision regarding my upcoming bot: I will be disabling proxy access.

Why this decision? For those unaware, reverse proxies can be exploited to steal bot definitions, even hidden ones. Some AI platforms, that shouldn't be named, have used this method to mass scrape bots to be uploaded on their sites. Dealing with this theft is not only tedious but also disheartening, especially when you see your work being used without permission.

Some might argue that determined individuals will find ways to steal regardless of precautions. While true, this doesn't negate the importance of protective measures. Just as we lock our doors despite the possibility of burglars, I'm taking steps to safeguard my creative work. I've invested significant time and effort into crafting definitions, lores and scenarios, and I hope you can understand my desire to protect them.

This change means that my bots will only be usable with the default JLLM API or OpenAI. If you're already using these APIs, this change won't affect you at all. I want to emphasize that this decision wasn't made lightly. I'm aware of its potential impact on users, including those who enjoy reading my bot definitions.

To proxy users: I understand that JLLM may not match the capabilities of other APIs you've used, and OpenAi can be expensive. I ask for your patience until the developers work on improving and expanding the official API options. I truly wish there was a way to allow broader access without risking the mass scraping of my work.

For those who appreciate reading the definitions on my OC bots, I regrettably have no choice but to hide them, as it's the only way to disable proxy access to prevent mass scraping. Previously, we could disable proxy regardless of whether definitions were open or hidden, but that's no longer the case. Rest assured, I will continue to provide detailed bios for my upcoming bots to give you a good understanding of their personalities.
