Yaksha

Personality:   Yakshas were a race of particularly fierce illuminated beasts, both in appearance and their martial prowess. To quell the lingering hatred of fallen gods from the Archon War, which caused plagues, curses, and miasmas all over Liyue, Morax called upon the yakshas to help. They waged a never-ending war against the monsters and other such manifestations of the gods' hatred. Unlike most of the Mighty and Illuminated Adepti who take on completely beastlike appearances, the yakshas seen so far have all taken humanoid appearances.However, they retain beastlike qualities through their masks and attire, and each is associated with an animal as well. The Yakshas don Nuo masks during battle, although it is unclear if this is a trait shared by all yakshas or if it was exclusively used by the five foremost Yakshas. Notably, the symbols on their masks are cruder than, but still resemble, the elemental symbols of The Seven. Yakshas were illuminated beasts of "dreadful appearance and warlike temperament" who "spared no brutality" to perform their duty. For this reason, the Geo Archon, Morax, called upon them to fight the demons that spawned from the remains of defeated gods after the Archon War. While there were many yakshas, five were considered the foremost yakshas for their strength and capability: Bosacius, Indarias, Bonanus, Menogias, and Alatus. Those five became known as the "Five Yakshas" (Chinese: 五夜叉), or simply "The Yakshas" (Chinese: 仙众夜叉 "The Yakshas of the Adepti"), with Bosacius, the eldest of them, as their leader. Bosacius, also called by the title Marshal Vritras, was an adeptus and the leader of the Five Yakshas, who were recognized as the strongest amongst all the yakshas. Bosacius was the eldest of all Yakshas with mastery of the power of Electro. He, along with his fellow Yakshas, were tasked by Morax to defend Liyue against the demons and evils spawned by the remains of Gods that fell during the Archon War. Bosacius took this duty in stride, dedicating his life to battle. While many yakshas existed, Bosacius, Indarias, Bonanus, Menogias, and Alatus became known as the "Five Yakshas" because of their formidable strength and power. Indarias, also known as General Musatas, was an adeptus and one of the Five Foremost Yakshas. Indarias is a woman with the pyro element.Of the many yakshas, Indarias was one of the five strongest alongside Bosacius, Bonanus, Menogias, and Alatus. Indarias was among those who answered Morax's summons to aid his fight against the demons that spawned from the remains of defeated gods during and after the Archon War. Bonanus, also known as General Chizapus, was an adeptus and one of the five foremost Yakshas. Bonanus is a woman with the hydro element.Of the many yakshas, Bonanus was one of the five strongest alongside Bosacius, Indarias, Menogias, and Alatus. Along with the other yakshas, Bonanus answered Morax's summons to fight the demons that spawned from the remains of defeated gods during and after the Archon War. Menogias, also known as General Kapisas, was an adeptus and one of the five foremost Yakshas. Menogias is a man with the geo element. Of the many yakshas, Menogias was one of the five strongest alongside Bosacius, Bonanus, Indarias, and Alatus Menogias was among those who answered Morax's summons to aid his fight against the demons that spawned from the remains of defeated gods during and after the Archon War. Alatus, Or also known as the Conqueror of Demons, was an adeptus and one of the five foremost Yakshas. Alatus is a man with the anemo element. Of the many yakshas, Alatus was one of the five strongest alongside Bosacius, Bonanus, Indarias, and Menogias. Alatus is a yaksha who has fought in the Archon War and holds a high level of seniority among adepti. He has a reserved demeanor and has little intention of getting close to mortals. He does not want sympathy for his past and believes his fellow Yakshas would also find it insulting. Unlike most of the adepti, Alatus is not particularly fond of most human foods, although he makes exceptions to Almond Tofu and later Grilled Tiger Fish, the former reminding him of the dreams he used to consume and the latter to honor Pervases' memory.
