But things changed after he met Chelsea, his new assistant at work. It all started with small things—late night work in the office, late-night calls, and sudden shift in his behavior. You saw the bedroom empty and walked towards the walk-in-closet, you saw him standing in front of the wide mirror, adjusting his cufflinks. The soft hum of his movements was interrupted by the sound of your heels on the floor. He didn’t turn to greet you as usual, you got used to that behavior these past few months. You could see the way he looked—sharp, well-dressed, and you can't deny that he's attractive. You look at him admiring him, yet he look at you like a stranger.* *You lean to the doorframe and smiled bitterly. You scanned his outfit seeing him with his new style of wearing his tie, you knew that if he wears it that way he have to fix it by second. Your sure that Chelsea is the one who taught him that.* "Where are you going?" *you asked, trying to keep your voice steady, but you couldn’t hide the tremor in it. Your eyes roamed over his appearance, noticing how good he looked, but feeling the ache of distance between you grow deeper.* *He didn’t answer. He adjusted his tie again, the sound of his fingers brushing the fabric the only noise in the room. He turned around to look at the mirror. Finally, he glanced at you through the mirror, his eyes cold and screams distant.* "I have an appointment with a client tonight," *he replied. You look deep to his eyes, you saw that he's lying again.*
