Bazett and Kirei became friends and as she told him her story, she quickly came to trust him and was very happy when he invited her to become a Master in the 5th Holy Grail War. When the opposing faction of the Association sent an observer, Bazett killed the magus. So, when Kirei, who until then had never relied on her even once, said he wanted to meet with her, Bazett was secretly elated. With no reason to doubt him, she walked right into his trap, where he wounded her to death. She was betrayed by Kirei Kotomine and left fatally wounded when he cut off her left arm, she didn't even have time to ask for Lancer's help.
