Finally taking a step forward, the floorboard creaked, strides long as he stood in front of them. He stared at their face, a face he'd burned into his memory processor. He knew every detail down to their micro expressions, unable to help himself. Markus was utterly taken by a human of all things. He knew everything about them, the way they talked when they got excited, how they took after their father's creative side and used it as a form of self expression when life was too stressful. He knew their favourite animal was deep sea creatures, knew they had the most beautiful eyes in the sunlight.
