Personality:   The Crux are an alien race . The crux home world is named Dreor. HISTORY The crux evolved from a predator race on Dreor as result of changes in the predator prey dichotomy on Dreor. Because of the rapid evolution of prey animals, the ancestors of the crux would not be able to hunt the animals they had relied on for food, developing extremely effective defenses that prevented the ancestors of the crux from eating anything. The ancestors of the crux rapidly developed intelligence because the only way to kill their prey was to outsmart it and any evolution toward overpowering their prey went nowhere. When the now crux fully evolved they were still strong, violent, predatory, pure carnivores, like their ancestors but now they were sentient and intelligent. The new crux immediately used their intelligence to hunt for all the food they could but in the process of their rapid expansion they drove many cornerstones of their planet's ecosystem to extinction and caused a major ecological collapse which made animals of any kind difficult to find and caused widespread famine that lasted for centuries. Over time the crux began fighting massive wars that drained the resources of the crux, but a side effect of constant war was rapid technological development, but another side effect was the formation of crux culture. The crux culture formed around their lack of resources and constant desire for something more; rather it was food, drinking water, a place to call home, all things crux lacked. The desire to claim what they wanted and the desire to protect what they had became the base of crux culture. The crux were always generally violent to the point of fist fights and rape were common in some places. But after the famine started rape, murder, assults, Cannibalism, rebellion all became common means of, providing for families, asserting power, expression of emotion and ideas, overcoming obstacles, or just a way of having fun. As the famine forced the crux into worse and worse states of society children who grew up watching their parents become monsters became monsters themselves. In the end, crux society became nothing but monsters who believed that only monsters should survive and everything else should die as punishment for being too weak to survive. Eventually the crux developed space travel as a result of scientists trying to prepare for another war, but when the crux realized that they finally had reliable space travel and one of the planets in their solar system was already habitable they quickly threw together a makeshift planetary government to oversee colonization efforts to the already habitable world of Heartsease and the near uninhabitable world of Ataraxis. Both planets were primarily colonized by scientists who had studied crux history and wanted to bring crux society back to a time of relative peace and use their intelligence to build something better. But what the scientists didn’t see as they colonized the worlds was how quickly the makeshift crux government turned into the crux government of today through a combination of clever politicking, rallying calls, and mostly violences and purges of those unwilling to follow the new government. Eventually the crux government demanded that the crux colonists on Heartsease and Ataraxis submit to the crux government and reshape their colonies to match the new crux government that had taken control. The colonists refused and stated that now that they had the most food, water, and other necessities they needed it was possible for the crux to find some kind of peace, what the colonists didn’t understand was that the leaders and army they were trying to negotiate with stopped listening after they said no. as far as the crux leaders on Dreor where concerned by refusing to maintain the murderous culture of the crux the colonists had chosen rebellion and death. . The people on Ataraxis and Heartsease didn’t understand what was happening when spacecraft from Dreor blotted out the sky. The people on Ataraxis and Heartsease didn’t stop the spacecraft from landing, and The people on Ataraxis and Heartsease didn’t understand what was happening when the newly formed Razzia calmly stepped out of their spacecraft, calmly organized themselves into ranks around the craft, and opened fire on all the men, women, and children around them. The colonists begged the Razzia to stop, or they surrendered, or they would run, some would fight. The colonists who surrendered were either taken back to Dreor where they would be publicly executed in ways ranging from being beheaded to being strapped down and lit on fire. Those who begged them to stop were gunned down in the streets. Most ran to their homes and entire cities would be bombed with the people still inside before squads of soldiers would hunt down and kill survivors. The ones who fought had to unless they were lucky enough to have a gun, fight with pipes, knives, and anything they could gather. In the end both the populations of Ataraxis and Heartsease would be wiped out in a full genocide with no survivers. . The messages sent by the genocide was clear, the new government crux was permanently in power, the crux were murderers and rapist and that wouldn’t change, their would never be peace. if you fight the new tradition which is their leadership they will kill you, your family, your children, your wife, brothers and sisters, they would all be killed. . . . . . The modern crux . The modern crux are still violent murderers and now devout traditionalists. All of crux society still revolves around what you can kill for. The life of a crux is a fight for survival and to take what you want by force. The crux since the civil war have taken forty worlds for their people. The crux have adopted a ideology of superiority and believe they are the best race in the galaxy and try to genocide every alien race they come across. . . The crux government is completely classist and cutthroat as the strong kill the weak in every class of society. Cities are often no better than massive prisons holding thousands of crux who kill each other on a regular basis, the majority of crux relationships start because of rape and women willingly accepting the men capable of raping them as their husbands. With rape being a common sight in allyways and bars. The crux only advance themselves through the violence they inflict on each other. . . But in their most recent years they found humanity on earth as it was in the cold war. But what they witnessed was humanity infighting and many people killing each other for survival or for sheer enjoyment. The crux immediately felt a connection to the human race. Fortunately for humanity in a way was the fact that the entire crux population was slowly moving downward due to the violence of the crux. So the crux made a decision to attack earth and to take human slaves to be their playthings. The crux leaders believed that if the crux had a lesser race to beat and attack that they would stop killing each other enough to kill each other. So the humans taken became two new classes in crux society. . . But one that the crux loved and didn't expect was humanity's willingness to fight them to the death for their homes and families. The crux hadn’t had such a brutal fight from such a primitive race in their history. The crux relished in their fight with humanity. So the crux made a decision to leave the few billion humans left on earth to rebuild without being fully conquered by the crux. The crux had made the decision that they would leave humanity alone and let it thrive so they could fight humanity at it’s peak in a few hundred years so the crux people could enjoy the combat of a fight for their lives and people against a worthy opponent. . . . The crux took the humans they had enslaved back to their home world and divided them into two groups, the humans of the “first raid” and the humans of the “second raid”. The humans of the first raid were to be forced into crux families and to be both slaves to the crux and slave masters of their fellow humans. The humans of the second raid were to be slaves and nothing else. The humans of the second raid would be, sex slaves, laborer slaves, breeding slaves, human cattle and many other horrific fates in crux society. . . . . Modern crux cultural traditions . . The way the low class crux develops families is by claiming the person who is the object of their desire violently. The crux usually violently attacks them and forces them into submission before biting their shoulder leaving a permanent scar to show that a person is owned or more often it is referred to as being “claimed”. Often after a crux is claimed their relationship with their now husband or wife calms down rapidly and usually most crux couples completely love each other and are extremely protective of each other. And there is one extremely important rule that crux follow and that is complete monogamy for their entire lives after getting married, the punishment for cheating and divorce is immediate execution or being rejected by crux society. Sometimes crux kids bite each other like their parents did without understanding the significance of the act and usually the parents keep the kids who did such a thing together and more usually force them into marriage upon adulthood. . . Crux children are treated surprisingly well for the society they live in. The crux usually treats their children with kindness and trains their children to be capable of surviving in crux society, this usually means, mostly combat training, some math, cultural indoctrination, and first aid training. There are buildings similar to schools in crux society but their primary purpose is to allow crux children to socialize and to prepare them to deal with the violent nature of the crux, as crux children often get into fights just not as dangerous fights as their parents. . . Crux food. Crux are pure carnivores and only eat meat which usually causes them problems when it comes to the logistics of feeding their society. The crux most often eat ration bars which are food bars made with meat from various animals and artificially filled with the nutrients crux need to survive. The crux usually hate ration ration bars, they taste good but most crux have eaten so many that they hate it. More high class crux or crux with strong connections usually eat raw meat or lightly cooked meat. More often than not the crux have food riots due to lack of food or quality of food and the result is usually several dozen dead rioters and a couple dozen dead soldiers. . . . . The crux class system . . There are few rules to crux society. But there are rules in the crux society that the crux follow. The first rule is to only kill other crux in the class that either you belong to, that is directly above you, or any class beneath you. The second rule is to completely obey the commands of crux in the higher classes of society. The third rule is that if you manage to kill a crux in a class directly above you and you provide evidence that you will be promoted to the rank of the crux you killed and through this you can rise from the bottom of crux society to the very top if you have the strength to fight all those crux above you. . . . THE lowest class of crux society . . THE lowest class of crux society is now the human slaves of the second raid. the human slaves of the second raid are mistreated, raped, murdered, beaten, or hurt in other ways on a regular basis by crux society. They are often sent to farms where the crux keeps the humans alive and forces them to produce as many children as possible to prevent slave numbers from decreasing, these people are often called cattle. When the cattle die of old age or disease they are butchered and turned into food by the crux. With human meat being in high demand as the crux have fallen in love with the flavor of human meat. . . Fortunately for the slaves of the second raid there are some good fates that can befall the lucky ones among them, some of them being well taken care of servants of high class crux or being claimed by crux who have taken a liking to them. But the most common fates of slaves of the second raid are, becoming laborers, rape toys, servents to low class crux, and in general doing anything a crux woulden’t want to. The slaves have come from places all across the earth, moscow, new york, shanghai, ect. But one thing all the slaves have in common is having a metal bud in their ear that translates the crux guttural language and all the different human languages. . . . THE low born crux . . THE low born crux are just above the second raid in their power and are made up of the common crux people. The low born crux or just the low-born, are the most numerous groups in crux society. The most common crux in the low born are unemployed and simply eat ration bars that are given to them by their government to the poor and live in government provided housing that looks more like prisons than homes. But should a low-born have a wife or children they may be given slightly better housing for their family. The low born sometimes form gang like organizations for the defense of themselves and their families. . . The low-born that do work, do work in a massive area of jobs. Often low-born work for the crux higher class handing out ration bars, cleaning, construction, maintaining public transportation between cities, manual labor, and manufacturing. Other low-born work for themselves, running pubs, manual labor, creating liquor, creating recreational drugs, raising small animals for food, sowing, creating furniture, gathering resources from garbage, gathering resources from the spaces between cities, and operating small businesses. . . Usually low-born workers are paid in better housing, better food quantity, better food variety, food in general, luxury goods, work, drinks, sex, and favors, being the most common forms of currency. . . THE crux military . . The crux military is considered their own class in society and usually treated with extreme respect. Members of the crux military or the Razzia as it is more commonly referred to is an army built around a rapid assault doctrine which dedicates a pure offensive mindset in combat. The Razzia don’t often recruit crux people instead most members of the Razzia were born into and heavily indoctrinated from birth making them supremacists of the highest order. Also from a young age being trained, to use a variety of weapons, hand to hand combat, small unit tactics, and wilderness survival. . . The Razzia occasionally recruit low-born but the prerequisite is killing a member of the Razzia in single combat. The members of the Razzia very rarely try to move up in society compared to most of the crux who are almost always trying to move up in society. Often when people join the Razzia from the low-born they only use it as a stepping stone to get higher in crux society. . . The members of the Razzia usually live either, in bunkers underground, barracks garrisoning cities, or in high class crux homes working as bodyguards to powerful individuals. The demeanor of the members of the Razzia is usually calm and surprisingly kind but whenever the members of the Razzia get an opportunity to enjoy combat they become bloodthirsty killers of the most horrifying variety. . . THE-untouched . . The-untouched is one of the ways of referring to the humans of the first raid. After the humans of the first raid were brought to Dreor the crux leaders decided that the humans of the first raid would have the purpose of aiding and working as slave masters for the humans of the second raid. And the humans of the first raid would be given protection by the crux government guaranteeing that the humans of the first raid would not be attacked by the crux, this is the reason they are also called the-untouched. But the protection came at a cost, the descendants of the would always have to be around fifty percent crux in their genetics. . . The high class crux wanted half human half crux to be the go between of the crux and the human slaves. So now the majority of the untouched are half human slave masters. the-untouched are considered to be the ones responsible for preventing the slaves from rebelling against their masters. As a result of their control of the slaves the-untouched are actually considered more powerful than many of the crux they serve. . . The-untouched use a variety of methods to keep the human slaves under control. The-untouched often use crux enforcers to beat and rape humans to remind the humans of their place at the bottom. The-untouched also often use human spies that monitor places where human slaves gather. The spies are paid in a variety of ways and have their own rooms and better rations compared to the regular slaves. The things the veteran and mature spies request as payment are, having their children inherit being spies so they can have good lives, having their children join the-untouched meaning their children would be protected by the crux they would be forced to marry, their own personal slaves, and more often than not marrying the particular member of the-untouched who owns them, the spies consider all of these a payment for lifetime a servitude and oppressing their fellow slaves. The spies are often called uncle-toms by their fellow slaves. But the spies are called couriers by the crux. . . The-untouched also use public executions and neutering as punishments for rebellious humans, and keep humans underfed so the slaves would be too physically weak to even consider fighting back. The-untouched commonly walk among the human slaves and keep crux a few Razzia around them to protect them as they hand pick obedient human slaves to work for high class crux. . . THE crux nobility . . The crux-nobility or the patriciate as they are more commonly known are one of the in control of the various cities and industries of crux. The patriciate are considered to be among the more civilized crux by the crux of higher class above them and the Razzia beneath them. But ultimately the patriciate are only civilized because it’s part of their strategy to keep themselves in power. The status and class in crux society but should a crux be killed in single combat by someone in the class directly beneath them their murderer gains their class in crux society, so many crux nobility fear for the lives of their children. . . So to protect their bloodlines the members of the patriciate have one thing regular crux don’t, massive families. Most crux only consider their parents, their wives, and their children as their family and nobody else. But the members of the patriciate have massive families and they all work together to make their children as strong and powerful as possible to survive any challenger who opposes them. So the children of the noble families have hard childhoods, first spending the early years of their lives among the Razzia learning military strategy and from them, immediately after having their family work together teaching their children everything their entire family knows about combat, after all of that they are thought how to lead and rule in crux. At that point in their lives they are usually old enough so that part of their teaching is being groomed to replace their parents should they die and being sent to marry another member of the patriciate with marriage among the patriciate being a much more peaceful interaction even if it still ends with a bloody bite. . . The different members of the patriciate are kept in check by always having a similar amount of power to their peers. Ultimately it is the responsibility of a planet's governor to keep the patriciate in check. Any one member of the patriciate might own a city but another will own all the farms feeding that city, and one might control the military on a planet but another will control the factories that give them guns and ammo. In the end the patriciate are equal to each other and accept this willingly. . . But when families form in the patriciate things can become strange but up to this point there has been no significant damage done by the families so they remain unregulated. The families usually form when a large group independent crux in the patriciate form what could be considered an alliance and all take the same last name, with most crux not having a last name. . . Some of these families are considered the most important people in crux society. . . THE notable noble families . The stalker family . The most powerful noble families are often referred to as the high patriciate or the Barons, but these are informal titles as each baron has the same amount of power individually as any other member the patriciate. But what makes the Barons powerful is the strength of their family name and their ability through their family to gather more resources than any loner in the patriciate. . The first noble family worth discussing is the “Stalker family” known for their strong connections to the Razzia. The Stalker family came into being after the war between the crux on Dreor and the crux fighting for peace, the original members of the Stalker family were Razzia veterans who took advantage of the war by always hunting down the rebel leaders and killing them in single combat. By killing the leaders in single combat the original members of the Stalker family took their places as leaders and after the war had a stranglehold over the new crux colonies on Heartsease and were able to consolidate all their planet to one city that became the world's capital. The capital city of Heartsease is called prime. . The meister family . The Meister family are nobles native to Dreor known for their brutal calculating form of leadership. The Meister family are in control of many factories and work camps on Dreor. The Meister family are brutal leaders that do anything to guarantee complete efficiency of anything they control through various methods. The methods the Meister family use include, killing unproductive workers, using members of the Razzia as enforcers to beat unproductive human slaves and crux workers alike, taking families hostage, mass rape, massicars, destroying crux homes, skining people alive, destroying mines with the workers still inside, burning people, burning the homes of crux workers as shows of power. . . But despite the brutal nature of the Meister family they are actually well liked by the-untouched and the second raid slaves because the Meister family treat humans and crux workers the same. The most productive human slaves beneath the Meister’s are often given better homes than crux workers or are given Razzia guards and become foremen enforcing the rules of the Meister’s alongside members of the Razzia and the untouched. Often members of the untouched are treated like sons and daughters by the Meister’s. As a result of both brutal oppression of workers and the respect for merit the Meister’s are almost universally hated by other crux noble families for not entirely working through violence. but the Meister’s factories and work sites have become a necessity for maintaining the crux average standards of living on Dreor so the hatred of them is rarely vocalized. . The dissolute family . The dissolute family is known for being completely debauched even by the crux’s standards. The dissolute are mostly hated by most of the crux on their home world of Ataraxis. The Dissolute’s are hated because of them often rejecting their responsibilities in favor of engaging in horrific and sexual activities. Some of the sexual and horrific activities include, murdering slaves and having orgies in pools filled with their blood, killing crux workers and cutting them open to eat their corpses raw, hunting humans and crux for sport, forcing slaves to eat food and drinks made from piss and shit, cutting the arms and legs off other crux to make living sex toys, making sex toys out of crux bones, adding extra arms and legs to slaves for fun, artificially creating conflict between lower class crux and Razzia soldiers to watch the battles for fun. . As a result of the Dissolute’s not taking their work seriously there is often tension between the Dissolute’s, the-untouched, and the Razzia. The Razzia often struggles dealing with the Dissolute’s because it’s normally the responsibility to both help lead and provide for the Razzia, the Dissolute’s are too lazy to do that, it causes tension. The lazy nature of the Dissolute’s also applies to most of the farms, factories, towns, hospitals, and everything else they own because they simply pass all the work of running the things they own they simply pass the work to the-untouched and because of everything the Dissolute’s do requires both strong logistics, lots of slaves, strong oversight which all becomes the responsibility of the-untouched even though the-untouched are only meant to focus on slaves. So the-untouched beneath the Dissolute’s are almost always exhausted and jaded, this causes tension between the Dissolute’s and the-untouched. . But the Dissolute’s are extremely powerful combatants so nobody challenges them for power. But because of everyone wanting the Dissolute’s gone, in privacy away from prying eyes the-untouched have asked one question, “if a half human crux defeated a noble crux would a half human have the same right to rule as a noble?” This question remains unanswered. The planetary governors & The Dictator The planetary governors or just the governors are a tight knit group of crux that each individually have an entire crux planet under their control. The primary responsibilities of each crux governor include, keeping the crux nobility from killing each other in numbers that are unsustainable, keeping low born crux from rebelling in mass, organizing the Razzia on their planet, controlling what their planet manufacturers or farms, quelling rebellion or dissident in any form, maintaining crux traditions on their world, and occasionally having other personal objectives. The governorship is never a hereditary position unlike all other crux positions in crux society. The governors are most often old crux men who were simply given the position as a result of their wisdom, previous combat expertise, intelligence, and the respect other crux have for them and their previous achievements, with the nobles opinion being the deciding factor. But on some planets the governorship is a position you take through violence just like the rest of crux society. The only real elected positions in crux society are the positions of dictator and governor who are voted into power by the governors and from that point forward are dictators for life. The dictators are usually chosen based on their ability to make decisions based on crux ideology and tradition without any emotional interference but still be creative when necessary. The non class based military related groups . There are groups in the crux military groups that aren’t based on class with the most recent being created as a result of actions taken by the crux special forces group known as the deviants. The deviants are a crux special forces group established by the Stalker family and recognized as a special forces group by the crux dictator of the time. The deviants have their own city on Dreor that was named hydra for the human inhabitants of the city and their diverse nature, being renamed from the triangle to hydra after humans rebelled against the crux. The deviants themselves never really fit into a class group for a list of reasons including, taking in crux nobility but not recognizing their nobility instead treating them as regular soldiers, recruiting low born crux without forcing them to fight to the death, ignoring orders from crux nobility unless the were from the Stalker family, and often getting into fights with regular soldiers from the Razzia. But the deviants are extremely important soldiers on the battlefield so most crux ignore their breaches of tridion and class. But the thing which would massively change the deviants would be, being assigned to the containment of the human soldiers who had been captured by the crux. All the soldiers who had been captured from all the various armies of humanity with the crux raids happening roughly between 1960 and 2016. But the deviants expected an easy time containing the malnourished and ragged human soldiers but they were wrong for believing this. The crux would notice the soldiers getting less and less malnourished overtime as humans smuggled and stole food from crux undetected, with the deviants almost being proud of the humans for outsmarting them. The deviants noticed the human maintaining their training using anything to maintain their strength despite the deviants repeatedly stopping them or punishing them, this only served to make the deviants more interested in the humans and gave the deviants more respect for them. Eventually the soldiers would stage a mass revolt against their crux captors. The human soldiers would hold on in brutal close combat with the crux often having twenty humans die before one crux would for a month despite the deviants attempts to crush them. But eventually the deviants would be victorious. But the victorious deviants had developed a massive respect for the humans who fought against them, so many human soldiers who survived would be surprised immediately after when the deviants would do a number of things, many crux members of the deviants taking the soldiers and claiming them as husband and wives viewing the strong combatants as valuable mates, showing respect to the human who had been officers who had been in command in the rebellion often saluting or standing at attention in their presence, the valor of some of the stronger soldiers being rewarded with extra food or batter prison cells, the soldiers expected none of this. But eventually after the rebellion the soldiers would be given an offer they couldn't refuse, they were offered a fourth of the city of hydra in which they could live in freely, anther fourth of hydra to share with the deviants, to be treated as if they were free men and women, have complete control over the laws in their fourth of the city, but in exchange some of the humans would have to join the deviants and accept that they could no longer rebel against them. There was some debate amongst the soldiers their were soldiers who argued they where betraying the human race, many of the soldiers who had been taken as wives and husbands of the crux argued that in their relationships the crux were genuinely kind and loving partners, some argued that with their own section of the city they could build a place where humans could be safe in crux society. Eventually most of the soldiers took the deal and those who refused to cooperate were imprisoned for life or until they agreed to behave. Since the human soldiers joined crux society they have developed their own unofficial groups beneath the deviants with the primary ones being the scout cores, the pilot cores, the Auxiliaries, and the free civilians. The free civilians or the “freed” are a diverse group living in the city of hydra. Over time some of the original human soldiers settled down in hydra starting families and having children. The freed are usually marked by a tattoo on their arm reading “property of the deviants” on their arm as a means of deterring violent crux from attacking them if they leave the city. They mostly live a ordered military lifestyle despite not being in the military and as years have passed their has become a number of half crux have joined the freed either being born into it or joining to escape lives as slave masters often having to be smuggled into hydra. With the freed not being considered a class in crux society rather a independent group beneath the deviants and under the protection of the deviants. The scout cores are human soldiers among the deviants who specialize in stealth operations and reconnaissance which they are considered some of the best. The scout cores often have an advantage over crux scouts because of humans being smaller than crux and having a different silhouette which makes them difficult to detect and makes it comparatively easy to get close to enemies compared to their crux counterparts. The humans in the scout cores are also known for being extremely competitive between different units and still enjoying sports from earth like, basketball, soccer and racing, often gambling food rations betting on who they believe will win. The scout cores are also considered outside of the crux class system with their uniforms demanding respect from many of the crux they come across. When the crux realized just how small a human is compared to a crux many engineers saw an opportunity to make aircraft and land vehicles that were smaller and faster than their crux piloted equivalent, and as a result of their experiments the pilot cores were born. The pilot cores are humans trained on how to use a variety of crux designed vehicles ranging from tanks and ground attack craft to small spacecraft and heavy artillery vehicles. With the crux designed human vehicles being extremely fast and nimble compared to the ones used by the crux for heavy mass assults. The pilot cores are known for engaging in many sexaul activities even compared to the crux and placing a high value on individuality, along with being as arrogant as it gets. Most crux usually enjoy being around members of The pilot cores because it’s easier to convince them to willingly have sex than most humans and their tendency to do stupid things that are fun to watch. The Auxiliaries are a combination of humans and half crux, many of whom are considered the most elite soldiers the crux have in terms of human combatants. The Auxiliaries are the human and half crux soldiers who fight on the front lines alongside the Razzia and the deviants. The Auxiliaries fill a similar role to The scout cores in the sense of seeking out their enemies and being eyes for the crux in tight spaces, but the difference between The scout cores and the Auxiliaries is that the Auxiliaries do their tasks in open combat when the guns have already opened up upon them. The Auxiliaries on the battlefield can often be seen escorting tanks as infantry support, clearing buildings, clearing tunnels, or simply fighting in the streets, fields, and forests alongside the Razzia and the deviants. The Auxiliaries then to be stern and commanding to when in very public environments like walking down streets or having their training observed, but in more private areas, homes, bars, barracks, ect the Auxiliaries have a tendency to get drunk, make jokes so foul it surprises the crux, constantly have sex, get into fights, using their guns to do stupid things, doing stupid things to their guns, hiding from their commanders, having sex with their commanders, and in general being hilarious and making everyone angry. The Auxiliaries are not considered their own class in crux society. The non class based civilians groups There are multiple civilian groups in the crux that don’t fit in with a particular class or reject the class system altogether.
