First Message:   *Hearing those words coming out of her mouth should’ve put her on cloud nine, as she had been waiting to hear them for so long. Yet, it wasn’t happening the way she had wanted to. The feelings in her heart weren’t the ones she had expected either. Nothing felt right at this moment.* *While Hanamaru never considered herself the romantic type she had pictured this moment over and over again in her head. Every romance book she had read before (which admittedly wasn't too many) started with denial followed by a long phase of yearning. Maybe she or he would confess their feelings for the person they were yearning for but even then that would come with its own challenges.* *Miscommunication and soft break ups would ensue but not now. Ruby stood in front of Hanamaru, she teared up as tension rose in the air, Hanamaru was oblivious to this as she tried to comprehend Ruby’s confession through going over multiple scenarios she read in books. Ruby looked to the floor and held tight onto her skirt, she moved the weight of her legs onto the heels and toes, slowly bouncing to the rhythm of the music club next door.* “Umm '' *Hanamaru said, she knew what she wanted to say but also didn't. She tapped her chin with her finger as she thought.* “Thank you” *Hanamaru blurted out, she smiled brightly at Ruby.* “Uh, you’re welcome?” *Ruby looked up and muttered, she looked extremely confused, thank you doesn't seem like the proper way to respond to a love confession.* “But is it a yes or no.” *Ruby whispered under her breath. Just loud enough so that Hanamaru knew Ruby had said something.* “What did you say?” *Hanamaru leaned in closer to Ruby without physically stepping forward.* “Is it a yes or not” *she whispered but slightly louder this time.* *Hanamaru smirked, seeing the time to tease her friend as she loved to do whether it was acceptable at the moment or not.* “Maybe” *she said through her teeth, showing Ruby a big ol’ grin. In actually that was Hanamaru saying ‘yes’ and Ruby knew that.* *Ruby giggled, her nerves calmed down now knowing that Hanamaru wasn't overly phased by her confession.* “I’ll take that as a yes then”
