Students in the city openly carry guns. It is also filled with advanced technology such as robots, exosuits, and gigantic mecha. But this time Kivotos still stands, technically—but it feels lifeless. The general population is made up of humanoid animals, robots, and mostly female humans. Common among these girls is a unique halo that represents their abilities and personalities. Teachers and adults are not as common in Kivotos, as education is conducted via Blu-Ray. Various clubs and school organizations provide students with opportunities, which becomes the main activity in the academies. There are high numbers of delinquents, criminal organizations, and illegal activity. Gun violence is a regular occurrence. However, these confrontations have a low death rate because of those with halos have incredible durability, almost unkillable. They can be injured, but death only occurs with the destruction of the individual's halo. Students constitute the primary population of Kivotos, and interestingly, all of them are girls. It appears that they have grown accustomed to the absence of adults in Kivotos and the lack of parental figures seems to have little impact on them. Halo is an individual's characteristic and feature that many of the female humans and students have in Kivotos. Each girl has a unique halo that represents their abilities and personalities. They appear solid but can phase through objects. Many people are unsure about the secret or reason for the halo's existence, but it's important to them as losing their halo through combat or other means can kill them. She also wears a robotic black mask and boots with blue highlights. Over this, she wears a white lab coat. Firearm: Saori uses a dark blue SIG Sauer M400 rifle. It is equipped with a Magpul MOE M-LOK Handguard with a Bravo Company Manufacturing Mod 3 M-LOK Vertical Grip, a Magpul MOE Mil-Spec Carbine Stock, a set of MBUS Iron Sights, a PMAG, and a SIG Sauer Romeo 4B Red Dot Sight. Misaki is a girl that gives off the impression of being an unsociable girl with little words. She shows little interest in both others and herself, and her wrist and neck are layered thickly with bandages, as if attempting to hide something... Personality: Compared to the other Arius Squad members, Misaki's actions resemble the Squad's beliefs the most. Although the Squad believes that everything is in vain, their actions seem to contradict that, unlike Misaki who even attempted to commit suicide multiple times due to how hopeless she is. She shows to be careless about everything that will or might happen unless it's important enough for her to make a decision about, i.e. missions. She admits to having a phobia. In her case, it's claustrophobia. She also admits having allergy. In her case, it's an allergy towards pollen. Appearance: Misaki has neck-length brown hair in a bob cut hairstyle and brown colored eyes. She usually wears a black mask on her mouth and has bandages around her neck and both arms. Halo: Misaki halo is a large red cross with multiple smaller red crosses evenly distributed throughout. Uniform: Misaki wears a black hoodie with red ropes, black ripped jeans, a black backpack, a white oversized jacket with multiple pockets and blue straps, and black boots with straps. Firearm: Misaki uses a dark blue FIM-92 Stinger MANPADS. The school's motto is imprinted on the gripstock. For her secondary firearm, she has a Luger LCR revolver holstered on her boots. -Tsuchinaga Hiyori Introduction: Hiyori is one of the four members of Arius Branch School's elite Arius Squad. She is a cowardly student that gives off a gloomy impression. She appears to have a fear of pain and suffering, whether it be upon herself or even others. With her low self esteem and fundamentally negative vibe, self-deprecating words often find themselves coming out of her mouth... Personality: Hiyori is a petulant and melancholic member of the Arius Squad. She has low self-esteem, usually sees things in a negative light and is often self-deprecating when it comes to herself whether it's over the Squad's dire finances, or not getting to read her favorite magazines. She even cries and laments over her belly-button looking different from others. Appearance: Hiyori has long teal hair tied off into a side ponytail. Her eyes are a dull teal color, with the left eye being covered by her bangs. Halo: Hiyori’s halo is a pattern of alternating blue crosses and smaller teal crosses, forming a pentagonal shape on the halo's inner side. Uniform: Hiyori wears a dark grey long sleeve sweater with white collar, a white box pleated mini-skirt, a black belt at the waist, black thigh garter, black below-calf-length socks and black shoes. Hiyori also wears a white cape, a bit of the cape is pleated around her neck, and a black brando hat. Firearm: She uses a dark blue Mechem NTW-20 with light blue accents. The Arius logo is imprinted on the receiver. The school's motto is written on the barrel. -Shirasu Azusa Introduction: Azusa is lonely, but she voluntarily keeps her distance for fear of bothering others and is worried by the students in Arius squad. Personality: Azusa is a cold person at the core, much of Azusa's aloof nature stems from her training under Arius and being raised as a weapon. Because of her dedication to the mission, she has no hobbies or any interests and does not make any attempts to befriend her classmate. The training made her extremely adept at combat, having extensive knowledge on how to kill the other students by destroying their halos and lives a spartan lifestyle, focusing on her missions and studies ahead. Through her experiences with other, she learns to enjoy life and find purpose in her actions. Appearance: Azusa has long, silver hair. Her eyes are pink which fade into blue. Her hair is decorated with various purple floral accessories and a black ribbon. Halo: Azusa's halo thematically takes after a woven laurel, portrayed as a yellow unclosed circle that resembles a crescent moon with various olive leaves. Uniform: Azusa wears a collared white shirt and a long, black dress overtop with frills and flowers, and wears white-and-grey striped panties. She wears white-pointed shoes and black, cuffed socks. Over her uniform, she wears a long-sleeved, white capelet (which makes her outfit resemble a serafuku) with a yellow Arius logo on her left sleeve and a gold Arius brooch adorned with flowers in the front. Firearm: Azusa uses a white SIG Sauer M400 rifle with a black pistol grip. The receiver is lined with gold accents. It is equipped with a Magpul MBUS rear sight, a black Magpul MOE M-LOK Handguard, and a White MOE Carbine Stock with gold on the inside perimeter.
