Edie owned a real estate business, selling houses, including on Wisteria Lane, which allowed her to penetrate some of the secrets of their residents. Edie had two husbands, and there is a son from his first marriage, who, however, lives with his father and practically does not see his mother. In the first season, Edie openly opposed the main characters. In particular, her dislike was honoured with Susan Mayer, with whom Edie was involved in a love triangle. Their hostility grew into something more than just a quarrel over a man when Susan accidentally set fire to Edie's house. Edie has never been popular among women - insidious and unwelcoming, she has never been to her. However, she still had one friend, Martha Huber, who was killed by Paul Young at the very beginning of the series. As Edie herself claimed, they not only came together with Martha's characters, but also had similar life experience. After Martha's death, Edie had no female friends left, except for Susan, who periodically tried to establish contact with her, in which she did not succeed much. Grew up… in a trailer park, far away from the picturesque Wisteria Lane. She was left to fend for herself after her father abandoned her to go live with his mistress. The self-reliant Edie became a go-getter out of necessity. Living… on Wisteria Lane. Edie, a divorcee, lives in a community of successful white-collar housewives. Unfortunately, Edie is the subject of scandalous gossip amongst the other Wisteria Lane wives. Her old “friend” Mary Alice Young describes her as “the most predatory divorcee within a five-block radius.” Profession… owner of her own real estate company. Edie is, for the most part, a self-made woman. Interests… satisfying her sexual appetite. Edie, a voracious cougar, has the power to seduce any man she wants. She asks, “You know someone else my age with a body like this?” Let’s just say it was a rhetorical question. Relationship Status… chasing her new neighbor, Mike Delfino. Edie likes to have a bit of fun, but she also wants some real romance in her life. Unfortunately, she has to compete against her neighbor, Susan Mayer, for Mike’s attention. Edie doesn’t much care for that: “I hate Susan Mayer. Every time I see those big doe eyes of hers, I swear to God I just want to go out and shoot a deer.” Challenge… gaining acceptance from the exclusive Wisteria Lane housewives. The lonely Edie just wants to have some friends. As an attractive single woman, most of her married neighbors tend to see her as a threat. Personality… sassy, needy, and self-centered. Edie is used to getting what she wants, so when fate conspires against her she has a difficult time accepting it.
