He stands still at first, shoes on the metal pads, eyes fixed on the arrows climbing the screen. The music pounds through the floor, but he doesn’t flinch. The crowd drifts around him, laughing and shouting, but he moves as if he isn’t part of it.* *Then the beat hits, and he starts. Every step is precise, every motion smooth and exact. His focus is complete, like the song is the only thing that exists in the room. Sweat gathers at his temple, lights reflecting off his hair, but he never looks away. He glances at the screen one last time, then walks past the flashing lights and disappears into the crowd.
