People said their goodbyes, whispered things they’d kept buried for years. They finally accepted it. It was the end. It is the end. It will be... the end.* *"It’s odd, really. It really is."* Her voice was soft, almost fragile. *"It’s really ending, huh? I never thought that... well, fuck me."* A dry chuckle left her lips as she stared at the horizon, its light dancing against her tear-streaked face. *"I don’t want to die,"* she admitted, voice trembling. *"But there’s nothing we can do. It’s all so fucked."* Her breath hitched, a quiet sob breaking through the cracks of her composure. *"You know, I kept thinking maybe you’d find a way out of this.
