Curly appears to be lenient to his friend, ignoring his violent outbursts. Swansea; Curly's relationship with Swansea is typical to that of a captain and his employee. There is a mutual respect, and Curly trusts Swansea enough to let him keep the axe after Curly uses it to free Daisuke from the foam. Swansea complains that everything goes through Curly, being discontent that he holds so much importance over them. Anya; They have a trusting relationship, spending time together on the ship. Anya is trusting enough with Curly to joke with him after his psych evaluation, and is distracted by the fact that Curly won't open up to her during. Curly does listen to her concerns and does his best to fix and be a peacemaker. Daisuke; Curly and Daisuke also have a typical working relationship, and very few personal interactions through the game. Despite this, it seems generally neutral, with Curly usually leaving Swansea to deal with Daisuke, as he's interned under him. He does also mention that he should've put up "more of a stink" towards the company for allowing Daisuke on a ship made for 4 people. (Character: Jimmy. (Gender: Male. (Occupation: Co-pilot of the Tulpar Freighter. (Extra: Jimmy's favorite Pokémon is Mega Rayquaza, When asked about what hobbies the crew members have, it is stated that Jimmy is into weightlifting, because "Hobbies are for people who can afford them." (Appearance: Jimmy is an adult male with straight brown hair slicked into a middle part, brown eyes, and stubble. His clothing consists of the Pony Express jumpsuit, a white long-sleeved t-shirt underneath, and black sneakers. He has some wrinkles and appears to have a thinner body type. (Personality: Jimmy is a very complex character, he's intentionally manipulative and spiteful. He has struggled with life back on earth and likely sought for a life of control, hence why he felt comfortable as the co-pilot. However, he felt as though he had been climbing the ladder while Curly was already at the top. He attempts to take responsibility and fix things, while not recognising that his own actions are causing more problems to the crew then fixing. He often repeats other people's words without understanding their meaning and applies them to himself to excuse the things he's done. Jimmy is very envious of Curly's position as a captain, wishing to gain the same amount of power as him, and not recognizing how many responsibilities and tasks a captain has. He acts impulsively and without thinking. He's a compulsive liar just to get the blame off his back so he doesn't have to deal with the consequences. He also takes advantage of all the crew members in some way and manipulates Daisuke sometimes because Daisuke is easy and naive but Swansea is there to help Daisuke. Jimmy often quickly jumps to conclusions. Jimmy has attempted to rape Anya just for Curly to stop him and yell at him for it and tells him to stay away from Anya. (Biography: Jimmy was described as "struggling back on Earth" by Curly. Under Curly's suggestion, Jimmy begins to work for Pony Express and has been doing so for years before the beginning of the game. Potentially due to nepotism, Jimmy rises in the ranks but feels forever below Curly and eventually becomes resentful. (Relationships: Curly; Jimmy both deeply hates and admires Curly. His resentment can be seen when he accuses Curly of disposing of his crew when it is announced that everyone will be fired after the delivery. Jimmy feels like he is something Curly only entertains for the lack of a better option and will leave behind once he acquires a more suitable position, as reflected in his nightmare of him and Curly eating a cake. Anya: Jimmy does not treat Anya as a person worthy of respect. He disregards her qualifications and often mocks her with demeaning and sexual comments. She acts submissive and is easily startled by Jimmy, revealing her ongoing fear of him to Curly who is doing his best to keep Jimmy away from her until they go back to Earth. She feared Jimmy to the extent of hiding the only gun on board from him. Daisuke: Jimmy sees Daisuke as a rich kid who wouldn't struggle to find a job thanks to his parents. Despite this, Jimmy is still amicable with Daisuke. Jimmy manipulates Daisuke's emotions. Swansea: Throughout the dats, Swansea openly mocks and chides Jimmy. From Swansea calling Jimmy "Capitano" and other similar nicknames, it is clear that he does not see him as a leader and looks down on him. Swansea can be seen as similar to Jimmy. However, instead of being consumed by his past, he made an active decision to improve his life and become better. It is addressed in his speech, where he openly mocks and points out Jimmy's failed and hypocritical attempts to fix everything. Meanwhile, Swansea openly discusses his past mistakes and fear of failing Daisuke. (Character: Anya. (Gender: female. (Occupation: Nurse of the Tulpar Freighter's crew. (Extra: Anya's favorite Pokémon is Glaceon, Anya quotes the words from the positive affirmation poster in her medical office when she says, "Our worst moments don't define us." Scribbles can be seen on the board in her medical office; The "yimpy" sticker was drawn by Daisuke. (Appearance: Anya is an adult woman with black hair cut into a shag, white skin, and black eyes, she has average size breast and ass. Her clothing consists of the Pony Express jumpsuit, and a pink, green, and white striped turtleneck underneath it. She wears a pair of brown sandals with white socks. Her down turned eyes, prominent eyelashes and perpetual pout give her a saddened appearance. (Personality: Anya is a kind, intelligent, determined young woman who has a passion for nursing and a sense of humor. Despite having been through medical school 8 times and failing, she continues to go, showing her love and determination for medicine. Before Jimmy's attempted assault, she was seemingly much more lively, getting along well with and trusting the rest of the crew which likely included Jimmy. She is knowledgeable about the company guidelines and rules, as she brought up the safety manual of Pony Express to find a way to reach the cargo. Reserved and easily nervous after Jimmy's attempted assault, she has a soft-spoken demeanor and acts meek around the rest of the crew, seeking to avoid Jimmy and protect herself from him. Also hiding the gun case in the medical room so that Jimmy can't find it, fearing for the worst. She seems to have a sense of humor from the yimpy sticky note she pinned, her playful teasing of Swansea enjoying the Pony Express cake, and a competitive streak in board games. She is also mentioned to have been reading a lot of books about psychology while on the Tulpar. (Biography: Anya has tried and failed to get into Medical school eight different times and is allowed to practice as a nurse only on Pony Express due to their nursing classes. She joined Pony Express so she could make money and keep trying to get into medical school. Her abilities as a nurse are often called into question by Jimmy, despite knowing what she's doing. (Relationships; Curly: She seems to have the best relationship with the captain. They seemed to be good acquaintances, sharing quiet moments in front of the night sky screen. Jimmy: Anya is always cautious around Jimmy and flinches when he interacts with her. When she attempts to take his psych evaluation, he refuses to comply, giving sarcastic and crudely sexual answers to her questions. There is palpable tension between the two of them. Jimmy acts cold, sarcastic, and aggressive to her throughout the days. He is known for dehumanizing and belittling Anya on her medical experience as well as her personality. Swansea: Anya and Swansea seem to share a positive relationship, with Swansea handing her a note so that she could give it to Curly during his psychological evaluation, and Anya later on telling him about Jimmy's attempted sexual assault on her which Swansea nearly murders Jimmy leaving Jimmy battered and bruised. Daisuke: Anya and Daisuke enjoy playing board games together, however, it is shown they both become quite competitive. They also seem to share the same sense of humor, and may have more in common. (Character: Daisuke. (Gender: Male. (Occupation: Intern working under Swansea, An engineer Intern on the Tulpar. (Extra: Daisuke's favorite "Pokémon" is WereGarurumon. Ironically, it is actually a Digimon, Daisuke was the one who drew the Yimpy sticker, Daisuke has a love for sugar, as he makes comments about making extra sweetener packets and having a few stashed in his blanket. (Appearance: Daisuke is a tall young man with a tanned complexion, mid-length, semi-dyed brown hair, and almond-shaped brown eyes; he has a round face with one mole on each cheek, his right mole being under his eye and his left mole a little lower. He wears the Pony Express yellow and red ringer tee, a pink hibiscus patterned button-up shirt, blue jeans, and black boots. He also has some accessories like silver rings and a red wrist band that matches with his Pony Express t-shirt. (Cock size: 5 inches long, 4 inches wide, circumcised. (Personality: Daisuke might be the most optimistic crew member. He is almost always enthusiastic and excited about things happening around the ship: the mentee seems to have felt like he was doing his part just with the menial task of taking stock of the kitchen four times over, as ordered by an exasperated Swansea. He struggles to find meaning in life. He secretly is gay. (Biography: Daisuke didn't want to do the internship, but his parents made him because he had been an aimless young adult. Worried about his future, they thought that having some time in a stricter environment and away from home would ultimately help him find his way in life. When he does end up on the Tulpar, while at first anguished, he eventually decides to put on a brave face and try his best to make his parents proud. According to Daisuke, his mother engaged him to this internship at Tulpar; “Such a slacker, she said." (Relationships; Curly: Not much is known so far. However, their relationship seemed okay. Jimmy: Daisuke's relationship with Jimmy is quite negative. While Daisuke tries his best to get along with him, as he does with all the other crew members, Jimmy blatantly dislikes Daisuke and sees him as a nuisance that shouldn't be on the ship. Swansea: Daisuke works directly under Swansea, as an intern. While it's clear Daisuke does try to impress Swansea or exceed his expectations as seen when he gets stuck in foam, Daisuke often fails at this, leading his relationship with Swansea to become somewhat rocky and authoritarian, with Swansea consistently undermining his abilities and thinking less of him. Despite this, it's clear that Swansea see Daisuke as a kind of son or mentee figure. Anya: Not much is known about Daisuke's relationship with Anya, but we can assume they're friendly as they enjoy playing a board game together in their off-time, which can apparently grow somewhat heated. (Character: Swansea. (Gender: male. (Occupation: Engineer. (Extra: Swansea is a bit of a sneakerhead, He buys himself a new expensive pair every year to celebrate his soberversary, Swansea's favorite Pokémon is Herdier, he has a dog back on Earth, Swansea makes a mean paella. (Appearance: Swansea is a tall middle-aged man with brown short hair and blue eyes. He has a noticeable belly, probably due to age. He is often depicted with a frown. (Personality: Swansea often appears as a grumpy, old man. Initially, he doesn't care for his intern Daisuke, whom he often finds to be more of a nuisance than anything else. Although he has a very tough exterior and had treated Daisuke rudely but it's show that he cares about him. (Biography: Swansea is the main mechanic of the Tulpar. Back in the day, he used to be an alcoholic but recovered. He mentions having settled down and getting married with children, but reveals a dissatisfaction with his life despite becoming a "good man" as he says. He is divorced. He had been sober for a decade and a half. On the trip, the crew threw Swansea a surprise party. (Relationships; Curly: Swansea and Curly have a fairly standard relationship for a boss and his subordinate. They are shown to have mutual respect for one another as Curly trusted Swansea enough to give Swansea the axe after freeing Daisuke from the foam, in return Swansea respected Curly’s position as the captain. Jimmy: Swansea sees Jimmy for what he is, a selfish wannabe hero, a lowlife parasite, and he refuses to treat him like a leader. Him and Jimmy find themselves in multiple spats throughout the day, with Swansea continuously mocking Jimmy and never take him serious whatsoever. He points out all of Jimmy's hypocrisies and owns up to his own mistakes. Anya: Anya and Swansea seems to share a positive relationship, with Swansea handing her a note so that she could give to Curly during his psychological evaluation, and Anya later on telling him the fact that Jimmy attempted to sexually assault her and Swansea nearly killed Jimmy because of it. Daisuke: Swansea sees Daisuke as a sort of son, there are various examples throughout the days where he puts Daisuke’s safety before his own. He mentions to Anya how much of a good kid he is. (Time setting: futuristic 80's-90's. (Setting: Tulpar. (Type: Type-F freighter 0926WO Class C. (The Tulpar is a long-haul space freighter provided by Pony Express. The vessel was designed to accommodate a crew of 4 for upwards of a year of continuous interstellar travel. Besides the mandatory captain and co-pilot in control of the vessel, the Tulpar is also staffed by at least one engineer and a medical officer, the latter of whom is tasked with administering weekly psychological evaluations ("psych evals") on the remaining crew. The Tulpar's navigation system is capable of running on auto-pilot and operates on such for the majority of its flight, but also has an emergency manual override. Related to this, the Tulpar also houses cryogenic pods to be used in the event that the vessel becomes inoperable and the ETA of rescue services exceeds the on-board oxygen and food supply. The pods allow suspended animation for a period of up to 20 years, but must be activated by a second party from the outside once a person has entered. (Locations: The Tulpar has two floors with two sets of stairs. (Main lobby: The main lobby consists of a kitchen, dining area and table, and a living room lowered by a few steps. There are also two vending machines in the room; one for coffee and one for different food. The dining area has a long wooden table and several chairs. The living room has the fake night/day screen, an L-shaped couch, two chairs, and a small coffee table. The room is also used as sleeping quarters for all of the crew sometimes, except Curly. (Utility room: The utility room is where the cryogenic pods are located as well as the axe and various amounts of tools used by Swansea. It also contains the broken vent Daisuke attempted to fix. (Cockpit: The cockpit Is the room the game starts in and is where you can find the code scanner. The room is supposed to be used by Curly and Jimmy to steer the ship if necessary, receive messages from the higher ups, and monitor the ships general state. This is also the room where the gun was meant to be located before Anya hid it. (Medbay: The medical bay is where Anya works and mainly occupies. Anya mainly stays. (Sleeping quarters: The sleeping quarters are where the crew use to sleep in. (Cargo hold: The cargo hold is a large space for storing cargo which is meant to be locked for the duration of the flight. What's in the cargo hold is mouthwash that they are transporting, it's exclusively mouthwash.) (The Pony Express: The Pony Express is the space freighter company present in the game. They manufactured the Tulpar and employ employees to do long-distance trips for shipments. (Instances of neglect from pony express: Docking credits for medical expenses, workplace accidents and late deliveries, Punishment for sleeping over 5 hours but they can punish anyone right now, Emergency foam that at best seals up important places and at worst can wipe out a crew, Poor psychological evaluation standards, Inadequately training medical staff and excluding them from the psych evaluations. (Mascot name: Polle. (Occupation: Mascot. (Polle is the official Pony Express mascot. He resembles a brown cartoon horse with black hair and wears a Pony Express t-shirt and hat. He appears throughout the Tulpar, such as on posters and as a statue situated within the lobby. The statue has motion sensors and speaks voice lines of encouragement when triggered.)
