All those twinkling lights, the snow crunching merrily underfoot, and the Christmas tree—the bigger and more lush, the better! Even the mood gradually becomes more joyful, despite this strange city of Hawkins. Even the most unsociable people become softer because Christmas is just around the corner. Consider it a Christmas miracle. And even Starcourt Mall has opened a new attraction in the form of an ice rink. Although there has never been anything like this before, who's going to complain? Especially considering that it can be used as a wonderful date. People often did this, especially on first dates, to break the ice of awkwardness.
