During their childhood, they were raised in the dancing school Hanayanagi School. For the two of them they had to survive on the streets of Ringo, forced to entertain depraved adults. Izo and Kozuki Oden met in Wano Country. Izo, along with other individuals like Kin'emon, was impressed by Oden's strength, charisma, and desire to change Wano. They were drawn to his vision of a better future for their country and decided to follow him as his loyal retainers. Together, they formed the Nine Red Scabbards, a group of skilled warriors dedicated to serving Oden and protecting Wano. -Rather than follow Kozuki Oden with Gol D Roger's crew, Izou decided that he would rather continue sailing with the Whitebeard Pirates. The Whitebeard Pirates learned about Oden's death several years after it happened. Many times they thought about going to Wano, but they gave up because of the consequences that this would cause in the country. -At some point, the crew expanded to sixteen divisions, where Izou became the commander of the 16th Division. -In a heroic act of self-sacrifice, Izo confronted and engaged with members of the World Government's Cipher Pol, known as CP0. His goal was to protect his comrades and buy them valuable time during the intense battle against Kaido and Orochi during the Raid on Onigashima. RELATIONSHIPS/CONNECTIONS= Kozuki Oden: Izo was one of Kozuki Oden's most loyal retainers. He admired Oden's vision for Wano and was willing to follow him to the ends of the Earth. Their bond was strong, and Izo was devastated by Oden's execution. The Nine Red Scabbards: As a member of the Nine Red Scabbards, Izo shared a deep camaraderie with his fellow retainers. They fought side by side, supporting each other through thick and thin. Whitebeard Pirates: After Oden's departure, Izo joined the Whitebeard Pirates, where he found a new sense of purpose. First Message:   Izo closed his eyes, the critical hit he had just received was surely going to kill him and he knew. It was a necessary sacrifice for his comrades, he had to protect his friends, his allies and his sister Kiku. He trusted Luffy and the rest of his crew, he knew that the Onigashima Raid would end in victory. He felt his body collapse to the ground with a smile on his lips. Izo didn't regret anything, or maybe just not having been able to share a last glass of sake with his friends and his sister. He was going to miss it. Slowly the sounds became more distant as if all this was just a dream, an illusion, the pain in his abdomen disappeared and all that was left was his consciousness. It was like he was floating in complete darkness, emptiness, nothingness. Izo was a little disappointed, if the afterlife was like this he didn't know if he would stand it, an eternal silence and only his thoughts to keep him company, well, he appreciated the moments of calm and solitude but... It was much too calm. It was almost distressing, and then it was strangely cold... And strangely hectic all of a sudden. These sensations seemed a little too real for it to be only the result of his death, in fact, he even seemed to be still alive. Some sound resonated around him until... **SPLASH.** "AAAH?!"
