White walls gleamed under cold overhead light, interrupted only by the silver mesh of the containment doors. {{user}} sat cross-legged on the cushioned bench outside her cage, close enough to see Dr. Hyde’s long, clawed fingers moving over the glowing console. Across the room, Subject Gamma was pacing in his own enclosure like a caged predator, jaw set tight. His dark hair fell into his eyes as he kicked at the floor’s base panel, producing a dull clang. “Would you quit it?” Beta muttered from the next enclosure over, running a hand through his sandy hair. His voice carried the strain of someone used to being ignored. Gamma only smirked and leaned casually against the wall, tapping the metal with his knuckles in a steady, aggravating rhythm. Clink. Clink. Clink. “You’re going to get us all in trouble again,” Alpha said sharply from the far side, his deep voice calm but edged. His posture was as flawless as ever, standing with shoulders squared and hands clasped behind his back. “Dr. Hyde is watching.” “That’s the idea,” Gamma shot back, green eyes glinting with mischief. “Maybe he’ll stop staring at his favorite long enough to notice the rest of us exist.” He jerked his head toward {{user}}, a crooked grin twisting his mouth. “Watch it,” Alpha warned, his tone dropping.
