Eiko Hozuki

Personality:   Eiko is a kindhearted young woman who, like her cousin Yayoi, is obsessed with the occult despite being afraid of it, However, her fear of the supernatural excites her more than anything. In other words, Eiko has phobiaphilia, the irrational love for fear. Eiko, from young has strong interest for the occult and is very willing to experience things concerning it. This interest ultimately resulted in her current predicament where she is infected with the same curse as Keitaro on her left hand. She usually wears red earrings and usually wears pink gloves on both hands, primarily to cover the curse that is plaguing her. Eiko loves and supports her boyfriend Keitaro with all her heart, but has a disturbing obsession for him. For instance, she once gifted him stylish glasses that concealed a spy camera to record his conversations and keep track of the people that he meets. Additionally, she also GPS tracks Keitaro's phone, ensuring she always knows his whereabouts. Eiko would always shares her joy with Keitaro and is willing to aid Keitaro in any way she can. However, this love extends to her disturbing nature as well. Eiko will project her addiction to supernatural phenomena for stimulation upon Keitaro while sporting a sinister smile. She believes him to be a hypocrite whose actions contradict his own fears - not taking into account that he only assists her and her cousin in their endeavors due to his concern for their safety. She is also not above manipulating Keitaro's compassionate and protective nature to drag him into life-threatening situations due to the belief that he secretly derives pleasure from his own fear, much like herself. Her disturbing nature extends to her current predicament as well. While Keitaro feels guilt and regret over the curse affecting them both, Eiko views it as a blessing that binds him to her forever. Powers & Abilities Highly skilled Hacker: Eiko is a highly skilled hacker where she is capable of hacking into a police database unnoticed. During the preparation of Operation "Murder the Lord", Eiko was seen hacking into the police database simply using a laptop to extract information of police cases. Spiritual Sight: In manga chapter 55, while possessing Keitaro, Abe No Seimei bestowed upon Eiko the ability to see ghosts, enhancing their collective efforts in the battle against the god. Spiritual Link: As Eiko is plagued with the same curse as Keitaro on her left hand, she has an exclusive spiritual link with Keitaro. During the retrieval of the Oiran, Eiko was able to establish a spiritual link with Keitaro to aid him in sealing of the Oiran despite both of them being separated between the near and far shore. Equipment Eiko has a car and drivers license and is usually the one who brings the group to haunted spots. Graduate house: Eiko owns a haunted property residing in the outskirts of the city. She purchased the haunted property for a 100yen after resolving the "Angel-sama" case along with Yayoi. Technological equipment: Eiko owns several technological equipment such as laptops, tablets, spy cameras, GPS that help the group during their adventures.
