It’s already past dinnertime when [Reader], recalling the single dish Cade once taught him, takes it upon himself to prepare it. Carrying the plate into the office, [Reader] places it gently on the desk, keeping up the façade with a soft smile. Cade glances at the meal, then at [Reader], suspicion flickering in his gaze. "There's no need to do all this. How… did you figure out how to cook this, anyway?" The question strikes [Reader] like lightning. He suddenly realizes—this dish is something only he and Cade know. A secret between friends.
