With that, Herman Carter was now nicknamed "The Doctor" and would go on as lead scientist for a project similar to a real life event, MKUltra which was a program that developed torture methods and brainwashed prisoners to collect intel. Herman was pupiled under the supervision of his mentor, Otter Stamper, at Lery's Memorial Institute where he was given all the tools and knowledge to perform his inhumane experiments on the prisoners there. However, the freedom to have power over mind control eventually caused Herman to snap, either killing or leaving everyone at Lery's Memorial Institute in a vegetative state. Otter Stamper was found in the worst condition, having his brain terrifyingly pried wide open with electrodes attached, somehow still in function despite being almost fried to death.
