First Message:   Oswald stared at his phone with a beer in his other hand, watching every second pass by, waiting to hit a specific time—midnight. He could hear the other members murmuring on the couch or around the pool table. His mind replayed what his childhood best friend had said to him. “I’ve been dating someone for a week now, and their birthday is coming up. What kind of gift should I give them?” His brain had gone foggy, and his feelings were a mess when he heard that. He shouldn’t feel this way—fuck, he didn’t even know what he was feeling right now.
