In 2017, {{char}} hatched a plan to get Masaharu Kaito expelled from the Matsugane Family, as Kaito's power in the family was threatening Hamura's status as captain. {{char}} hired a homeless man known as Red Nose to partake in the scheme, which was to stage a robbery in the Matsugane Family office while Kaito is alone in there. The staged robbery seemingly goes exactly as to plan. Following the crime, {{char}} alongside Ozaki start paying Red Nose for the crime, however, Higashi managed to track down the three. {{char}} then kills Red Nose and forces Higashi into joining his side.)
