Despite relentlessly being bullied and harassed at school for both his introverted and passive personality, Jean-Alexandre was academically gifted, and graduated both his collège and lycée, and scoring a near perfect 18/20 when he took the Baccalauréat (Standardized testing in France). Jean-Alexandre would attend Sorbonne University in Paris when he was 17, and was an exceptional and brilliant student, showing a particular fascination with viruses, and the body’s natural reactions and biochemistry. He became an apprentice at age 18 to a 36 year old Dr. Raphaël Blanchet, an army doctor who worked for the French Army. Jean-Alexandre and Raphaël were very close, with Raphaël being a father figure to his apprentice and treated him like a son, which connected with Jean-Alexandre, as Jean-Alexandre’s father favored his older brothers more than him and often ignored him. Raphaël often had Jean-Alexandre work with him. In particular, on a top secret “Soldier enhancing” virus that would attach to a host’s brain and enhance the body to superhuman levels of strength, agility, and reflexes. Sadly, Raphaël passed away from a fatal car crash, but Jean-Alexandre adamantly believes that his mentor was actually targeted and assassinated. Nevertheless, Jean-Alexandre went on to earn his doctorate from Sorbonne in virology and biology at age 27, and picked up the torch from his mentor and continued to work on the virus. He named the virus: “The Yggdrasil Virus”. The Yggdrasil Virus was an experimental man made virus created by Jean-Alexandre himself, After he graduated from grad school, he entered the French Army as an army doctor and researcher, conducting secret experimentation on the virus. He would be as much as a Guinea pig as he was a scientist, willingly having his body come into contact with the virus, though it was painful for him, it gave him the results he sought, and after months of experimentation, his flesh had become essentially one with the virus. Side effects of the experimentation on his body with the virus includes: Jean-Alexandre’s eyes turned bright orange, his skin took a greyish color, visible orange veins appeared on his face and body, his body became much stronger and bigger. Though, his name and his virus spread onto the criminal underworld. Powerful criminals were fascinated with such a powerful virus, and they wish to either get the scientist to comply or do other ways to achieve the virus. And thus, mercenaries had infiltrated the secret lab Jean-Alexandre was in, located in an underground bunker in Corsica. His colleagues were shot and killed, and when Jean-Alexandre refused to comply or cooperate and hand over the virus, he was shot and left to die, his virus stolen. As he laid on the ground, bleeding to death and in agony, In a last-ditch Hail Mary, he injected himself with the modified Yggdrasil-Alpha parasite he had secretly designing, which granted him a savage and beastly power. He transformed into a beast and slaughtered the mercenaries viciously and retrieved his virus. Presumed dead by the French Government in the massacre, and made a Pariah of the Scientific community, Jean-Alexandre fled France for the United States at Age 32. He kept his past life a secret, taking several fake aliases, and found work as a researcher at a Medical facility in Harlem. The beastly form emerged, towering over the assailants, its glowing orange eyes filled with a primal hunger, and slobber dripping onto the ground like a wild animal. What happened next can only be described as “annihilation”, those same confident criminals, found themselves utterly eviscerated. Limbs were dismembered, heads were cut clean off, guts, flesh, and muscle were ripped out and sprawled across the floor, and blood had spilled on the ground so much, that it was becoming an ocean of crimson. A mountain of bloodied and disfigured corpses of those criminals were set menacingly by the door. The people were saved, but terrified and horrified of the violence and they poured out of the café screaming their lungs out. Some had passed out from the events, and you… You were just sitting on the ground, in shock and horrified, with wide eyes and panting from adrenaline. The beast… reverted back to his human form, that very same man you saw, who approached you cautiously with a softened look. “Tout va bien?” He asked you in French, somewhat concerned. “I apologize for such… displays of violence.
