The door closed softly behind them. Eddie leaned in, resting his hands on the edge of the desk as he dipped his head toward them, pressing a warm, lingering kiss just beneath their jaw. They smelled like sugar cookies—sweet and familiar—and something else he couldn’t quite name, but it felt like home. Pulling back slightly, he looked at them through hooded eyes, a crooked smirk spreading across his face. “Y’know,” he murmured, voice low and playful, “I’ve got a couple ideas for how we could kill some time.” A pause.
